Electrical Engineer - I do power grid studies and program the equipment that runs it.
The key to tire wear is the driver. My F-350 DRW diesel tires with 30k miles of max GVWR use (huge truck camper) look almost new...without any rotations....but I drive like an eggshell is under my right foot and take it easy around corners. Might have to adjust those rotation intervals with a lead foot. 10k is a suggested max interval...nothing more.

I’m just about through my second winter on the OEM Goodyear Grabbers at 35k miles. I won’t get a third winter, but I’m guessing I have another 5k miles at least.

I followed the recommended maintenance schedule. The first rotation was free because my service manager is awesome and they took a little longer than expected to get the truck done. The second rotation was free because during that service they accidentally drove the top of the cab into a partially lowered service bay door (ouch!, but they did a great job with the repair). The third rotation was about $25.

Love the truck and my dealership. Unfortunately, my dealership’s management decided to drop out of the EV dealer program (too much upgrade costs and not a lot of sales in rural PA). Now I have to find another service center. Here’s to hoping they are as friendly, but put their service bay doors either all the way up or all the way down!

My 10000 mile maintenance cost me over $80. Pretty much a tire rotation and they topped off my fluids.

The cost is in this thread...

They charge for a tire rotation and visual inspection. Should be around $20. A maintenance plan on this truck is for people who like to burn their money.
My 10k maintenance cost a little over $80. Pretty much just tire rotation and topped off my fluids. The next maintenance, I'll rotate my own tires. And top off my own windshield washer solution.

I agree a Pointless inspection but will do it just so there isn't any question of warranty issue. Dealers will not honor the warranty for reasons less than doing the required maintenance. And $35.00 is nothing.
My 10k cost $80. All they did was top off fluids & rotate tires.

14k on my factory tires and they are looking great. I did the 10k service at the dealer. Only issue was they forgot to refill the washer fluid 😂
What did they charge you?

I have my America's Tire do rotations on my Lightning every 5k miles.. The $146 replacement or repair from road damage on the tires also includes rotation every 5k miles (in which they spin balance and check pressures).
As a mechanic, I have no problem doing the 15-20 point inspections, refills and cabin filter- all at little cost in time or money. My Ford dealer is 40 miles away which is also an issue. They have been excellent on the quick turn-around of recalls but, at $50 per rotation, I felt I was better off with America's Tire who warranted the tires also.
My only concern is that my not bringing it in (But logging the inspection myself) might jeopardize my extended warranty.

Les Schwab Tire Centers are amazing in flat tire repair - no charge. Last year - I had an A/T tire blow out from road debris that went flat in 2 miles - a Les technician came to me within 15 minutes to do a temporary patch - drove it to their store for a 90-minute wait/fix. Then two days ago I woke up to a down to 20-psi slow leak that I pumped up - in early to Les for a 60-minute fix. And an 8 am advertised opening means they open at 7:30 am locally. Thank you - Les Schwab Tire Centers.

Yes, So does America's Tire do flat tire repair at no cost- (great promotional advertising on their part!). With the cost of the EV Tire replacement for a ruined tire at several hundred$, I felt the $146 was very reasonable and included every 5k mile rotation with spin-balance for free which Ford told me they would charge $50 for. In 3 rotations, I get my money back and have full replacement for a ruined tire for 12 months. I started driving my Lightning in August 23 and already have 11,000 miles on it (but have only spent $63 in charging costs so far as I have solar and batteries at home). At that mileage rate, I will need 2 more tire rotations this year.

i had a maintenance plan and don’t know. I’ll have to pay for my next service so I’m expecting it to be minimal since there’s not much to do.
