I’m only a month into ownership, but I loved driving my kid around to get her to sleep, listening to a ball game and at the end hit a personal best in mi/kwh

I find the current trip to be too optimistic for short drives to be honest. I'm holding at 2.1 m/kwh for total 8k miles since Oct 2023. I'm not convinced even with summer Temps it will improve much, my 20 mile commute always is very high the first 15 miles (2.6 to 2.8 normally) and then starts coming down to 2.3 to 2.1 very quickly.

I really wish we had a kwh remaining to tell us a better range based on observed m/kwh, but then we would have people not able to do multiplication complaining lol.

So I recently inflated my tires from 32 psi, off the lot pressure, to 47 psi, 4 psi under the tire spec max. My power/range went from 29-30kw/100 km (2.1mi/kwh) to 25kw/100km (2.5mi/kwh).

3.2mi/kWh sometimes a little better.
how you getting that range? Did you have a different tire packag? Ive seen people change thsir wheel and increase pressure to get better efficiency. How are you doing it?

Stock tires but like you I inflated the tires to 48 psi and I exclusively use one pedal. In general I hyper mile like I did in the Prius of past. Unless I am just playing don’t do hard acceleration or use the friction brakes. I also have on a tonneau cover.

That is my 8 mile commute to work. So I use shore power to heat/defrost the cab. Then generally I don’t use heat except in the coldest of days. I spend half that time at 55-60 miles and the rest in city traffic. I do some longer trips a couple times a week at exclusively rural highway speed and average 2.5-2.7. On the freeway i average 2.3-2.4.

My life time average is at 2.4 mi/kwh with almost 12k on the clock.

The only photo I have is only 2.9 mi/kWh, but that's after almost an hour of freeway driving on a windy day. Around town, I typically get 3.5 to 4.5 miles/kWh, depending on how hard I push it.

I have seen my readout get as high as 16.X, but that is cheating coming down a ~1,500' elevation change :ROFLMAO:

People getting 2.9 on the highway aren't driving over 70mph like most do...

1.9 on my 5,300 mile trip.

Now with temps in the low 50's on the way in and 70's on the way home, I am in the 2.3 range pretty consistently for my 50+ mile trip each way. About 30 of it is highway miles @ about 75mph. The rest are backroads at about 40 or so. I don't accelerate agressively which I think eats into that range if you do it consistently.

All of the above is a relief for me; glad to see everyone’s experiences are similar (except for grease lighting WTH man?!)

I have a tonneau cover, use sport mode for regenerative. Has anyone noticed any major differences between sport alone v normal in 1 pedal mode?

All modes will regenerate the same amount of energy, 1 or 2 pedal, as long as you don't mash the brake.

There's a place I go a ton where this situation happens, I always think maybe I should steal a big rock from the top and dump it at the bottom every time...

My morning commute has ~500ft overall drop in elevation, about 30% freeway (I stick to 65mph and light/moderate traffic), the rest city streets (45-50mph). I'll get between 3.2-3.6 in good weather. Going home I get 2.6-2.8, have a pic somewhere that shows 3k miles with an avg of 2.9. My lifetime avg is 2.5 (23k miles with about 25% road trip miles). I'm a little worried about the summer heat baking the battery but in general Tucson has been ideal for the EV use case.
