Unfortunately, you borrowed my Mongoose and did the updates in October and the updates needed for this were released in FDRS in December. Lmk if you want me to add you back on the list.
Yes please, I have no idea how to do the forSCAN stuff though , is it difficult?

Not at all. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. I'll add you back on now.

It is not at all, with the help of rugedraw I was able to do it a couple of weeks ago and it was easy. Best thing to remember is take a screenshot or something of the current values when doing Forscan so you can go back if needed. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward and easy, plus you'll have some awesome help along the way.

Yes, but not publicly.
@rugedraw I'm was just about to order the mongoose until I looked into it a little further and found the thread on power supply requirements which just about double the cost of the effort. Still strongly considering just making the purchase and helping out some local owners in my area when I'm finished.

Could I message you directly and/or is there a place that lists the "possibilities" that FDRS offers currently? (Such as BC 1.4, Walk Away Lock, and maybe more not publicly disclosed options). I'm no stranger to ForScan and have enabled all the popular features on my lighting. I'm considering the $1000+ investment basically to upgrade my Bluecruise from 1.0 to 1.4 so I'll have a more featured BC while I'm still in the 3 year trial.

The walk-away locking I believe comes with an update that you can get with FDRS; no FORScan changes are needed for that.

As far as enabling BC 1.4: The person that confided that info to me is no longer asking me to be secretive with the changes needed to enable BC 1.4. It has been over 6 months now since Ford tried to push out the BC 1.4 updates that ended up "bricking" a few Mach E's and Ford should have figured this out by now. However, the changes will not be posted publicly as there are certain modules that need to be up to date in order for the FORScan changes to work. Nobody is going to post them publicly to avoid having people whose vehicles are not ready for BC 1.4 try to enable it and then messing something up.

In addition to the above, just because someone fully updated with FDRS does not automatically mean that you can activate BC 1.4. Due to some issues on Ford's side, many vehicle do not get certain updates released to them on the server which prevents them from fully updating. If this is the case, even with FDRS, you will have the latest IPC update that includes the animations for BC 1.4, so you will bot be able to enable it. This is an issue that can be usually remedied with FDRS, but that is handled on a case-by-case basis if and when this issue comes up.

These are some of the intricacies associated with enabling BC 1.4 via FORScan. So for the time being, I will only give the changes needed to enable BC 1.4 via PM to people who send me their VIN I can check if it can be done or if there is something missing.

Thanks! Is there a power supply you would recommend?
I'm not sure. I know the Clore 6100 works, but it's very expensive. A few members here and on the Mach E forums have gone with other options with no problems. As long as it has a power supply mode of 40amps or more, any one will do.

I got this from NAPA, a little cheaper and only a 40 AMP but it did the trick. They are actually made for NAPA by Clore, but I will say 40 AMPS seems to be the minimum but that is just a guess based on my experience.

It's a nice little unit on wheels and works well. Not sure why it has negative reviews as again it's branded for NAPA but made by Clore Automotive. You certainly want a charger with a dedicated power supply mode however.

I will be updating soon as I have all needed finally for FDRS. I will be interested in getting walk away locks going and BC 1.4 hopefully.
