My BC "trial" ends in July 2025. If Ford wants another cent from me, they need to release BC 1.4 and new updates quickly... not soon, or Q2, or something like this. I understand Ford is not a software company, but they keep on making promises but don't seem to deliver.

Actually I wish Ford can purchase FSD license from Tesla for their vehicles.

The latest FSD software is amazing for $99 a month, compared to crappy BC that cost $75 a month

Either Ford need to decrease price to $25 or $30, or just please give us the update we want...

I wouldn't pay any of those amounts, for BlueCruise or FSD.

So, yet another reason to invest in the capability to do your own updates I suppose.

I've had BC1.4 for about a month now and prior to having it I was on the "no effing way jose" train, I'm not paying $800 for this garbage.

But now I'm not so sure, it's actually really, really nice. Probably not $800 nice, so I would reluctantly choose not to subscribe on an annual basis.

But, if I could recommend/change anything it would be to ask the mothership to price it around $4-500.
$500 is a stretch, but I'd probably pay $400 for a annual plan vs. $75-100 for my road trips (less than 4 times a year)

The only thing amazing about FSD was the UI. Tesla provided those for free now, AP is good enough. To me FSD was like having a student driver next to you…. No thanks….

To each their own. But there is absolutely ZERO chance I would pay $800 per year or anywhere near that, for BC or FSD.

If there is to be a recurring charge for BC or FSD I'm more in the $5-$10 per month or $100 per year. Anything above that I'll just steer the truck myself on cruise control on the highway and drive it myself on the streets. After all I bought the truck to drive it :)

If I want to be driven I'll ask the wife to drive

If I had to guess Ford will be the mystery OEM that is gonna be licensing Tesla Full Self Driving, which means it wouldn’t surprise me if BlueCruise is abandoned completely
I dunno. With the stunt Elon is pulling with SC's and also likely our delayed adapter, why would any OEM trust him with delivering.

I don’t know what is available on the other trims, but I have the Lariat ER and it has the Lane keep assist and adaptive Cruise control which pretty much does everything except turn! BC is nice, but I would not pay for it!

12.3.x got a lot better. I used to only try the FSD updates for a day or so after they came out and then stop using it unless I was on a 100+ mi trip (because of what you complained about). 12.3.6 has been driving me from my driveway to my work parking lot, 5 miles in city traffic (stop lights, stop signs, pedestrians, double parked cars, garbage cans, speed bumps, left & right turns, roundabouts) every week day for the last two months. I have not gotten annoyed with it. It’s not 100% every day but 50% or so of the days I don’t do anything but touch the wheel for the nag every few minutes.

So, if I do the FDRS updates BC 1.4 is available?

You need to "enable" it through Forscan once you're fully up to date.

Search the forum for contacts/information on how to do so.
I was asked not to share the Forscan stuff, and I will honor that request.

If the vehicle has BC 1.2 or 1.3 from factory and you do all the updates in FDRS, you will have BC 1.4. If the vehicle shipped with BC 1.0 and you do all the updates in FDRS, then 1.4 can be enabled with FORScan.

Unfortunately, you borrowed my Mongoose and did the updates in October and the updates needed for this were released in FDRS in December. Lmk if you want me to add you back on the list.
