So far a happy ending on my truck.
I picked my truck up today. They got all of the updates done.

They said the issue was with the laptop they were using and when they tried a second laptop, everything went through fine.
I seem to recall a few people that did their own updates from FDRS that a bum laptop made the process...not fun. So that seems believable, though I would have expected laptops used for service at a dealership to be top notch. Funny things happen, at least they figured it out and nothing was bricked.

So far I’ve driven it home and it’s charging okay. 360 cam is good and camera still engages when close to something.

hard to believe a bum laptop can cause those HV battery warnings and everything. Scary.

A more believable story is, "We forgot to hook up the battery and the 12v battery was depleted". I seem to recall a low 12V will sometimes throw those codes as well. If that's the case, they likely didn't want to admit to have acted like a rookie and made up the story about the laptop. I've only partially paid attention to the FDRS stuff and am still ramping up my know-how on it. It's a loooong thread.

Currently at the dealership waiting on my truck, brought it in just for the lightbar and figured I'd ask them to replace the 12V BMS while they're at it. I told them explicitly, no updates and no other recalls. Fingers crossed they don't break any clips. 🤞

Just got my truck back from the techs. No broken clips and new lightbar successfully installed. New 12V BMS as well!

I was surprised that the tailgate top cap is a one-time use item that actually gets broken when it's removed. So the lightbar is new and so is that top cap they put on there. There's apparently no way to get a trim tool in to release the molded clips, so they break off if you try lifting it too hard.

Not in my case. Can confirm based off of red dust from south Dakota from my road trip, they reinstalled that upper piece.

Took my 23 Lariat in for front sensor update and SA says there is a frunk update also. Front sensor update failed. They replace the Image Processor module saying it would not update. Got the new IPM and they had to try repeatedly to get it to program. 11 days later they finally said it was ready.
Simple updates = many days of frustration. OTA updates have always worked.
This is what happened to me. They also lied and said they rotated the tires. (I marked them) I just stopped going to the dealer after this.

I just spent hours on the phone with the dealer and Ford BEV. They are not being forthcoming with information and I have definitely been lied to. The "part" that was "on order" was cancelled without the dealer knowing three times. An FSE was supposedly out and expedited a replacement part that came in yesterday. I was to pick the truck up last night or this morning. At 2:59 the dealer called and said the part that came in and was ordered was the incorrect part, and another would be expedited - was in stock in Detroit - and we may have it by Friday.

The Ford Dealer and Ford Motor Company BEV took a perfectly good vehicle and rendered it useless. I made the grave mistake of buying instead of leasing, and installing the full HIS at my home. Three times in the last month, with long power failures I had no power, as I made the mistake of spending $7k on the HIS instead of a Generac.
THE HIS and home back up is the greatest travesty by a car company that’s iv ever seen in my life. It’s a good effort, and a great idea, that could save lives. But the lack of support and follow up with customers still under warranty is insulting @Ford Motor Company
