I am getting a Front Parking Sensor Blocked Error specifically following a Car Wash (Drive through) in Freezing Temps. I assumed this was just ice build up on the Bumper Sensors but after manually inspecting I see nothing. Is there a lower (Under bumper) sensor that I am not seeing? Thanks

This happens often, in heavy rain, on my truck.

FYI - there was / is a CSP for some or all Lightnings to help with this... it is essentially a set of software updates and related software actions.

On my truck, the dealership (a good dealership BTW) checked this out and then recalibrated the front sensors. When in heavy rain, this recalibration reduced the duration of the front sensors yelling at me (OMG OMG FAILURE! FAILURE! WARNING WILL ROBINSON! etc...) from 20+ seconds per event, to about 1 or 2 seconds per event. That has helped a lot for livability and my peace of mind while driving 😉

Good Luck!

This seems to be a common issue. Our 23 has had the CSP done a few months ago but recently started going nuts on the left center sensor. It was at the dealer last week and went to pick it up Friday after 'everything is good, we replaced a module' only for my wife to call and say it was doing the same thing less than a mile from the dealer. Back it goes tomorrow, this time I told them they are giving us a vehicle to drive. Certainly seems like a calibration or software issue.

We've had our '24 Flash for about two weeks, and the error was happening regularly. Dealer has the truck and said they suspect the sensor behind the rearview mirror in the windshield. Not resolved but they mentioned possibility of replacing windshield or/and mirror.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Same issue brought it in twice. After the second time they changed the sensor was fine for a bit then it happened more and more frequently lately. Didn’t have this issue at all on the pro

I too am getting this error for the past several days. The temperature hasn't been above freezing for about a week. I have an appointment in 2 weeks due a sensor recall, but I'm not sure if it is for this issue.

I occasionally get this error after a car wash when the temperature is below freezing, which causes ice to build up on the sensors in the front bumper. I just spray the sensors with isopropyl alcohol , 70% USP, which will melt the ice quickly and clear the error.

Hmm ..ok.. Are there the 4 sensors on the Bumper? Or are there others underneath the license plate etc. Mine look clear..but it is 12 degrees out.

I have 6 sensors on my bumper. Includes one sensor on each side just in front of the front tire.

I had the same thing happening. I took the truck to the dealer 3 weeks ago, and now it is back in the shop with 10 new issues. We’ll see if they can get it fixed!?

Hi new Lighting owner He and My first post. I had no problems with the parking sensors unit until we hit a very bad cold spell here in Iowa. I had the front sensor error going off all the time. Driving down the road with no one on the road and getting the error was very strange. Got so bad I turned off the parking sensors. Nice and quiet for a day and then it came back, I looked and saw they were turned back on. Is this normal? I did not touch anything. Called the dealer and it had the software update, but I made an appointment On Mar 4 for it to go in.
Now today It has warmed up and everything seems fine except it seems the front sensors come on very late or not at all. Anyone else have this happen.
