Sure, but we have a dedicated button to put it in calm screen and hit it again and the screen will turn off entirely. That's something those hoity toity lariat and platinums can't do :)
Although I have never had hoity toidy envy, I think we are talking about different things. The following is the calm screen I am looking for a shortcut for.

Down button on the steering wheel gets there for me in one click (although I never use it)

Thanks. I have"This trip" as my default and with trip 1, 2, tire pressure,... on. so for me, it is three clicks on either direction. I don't want the quick access bad enough to turn off my other screens. Of course three clicks never killed anyone but it sounded like guys were saying I could do it in one so I was curious. No biggie. Just messing with this I realized the navigation option was in the same area which I forgot about after the first month since I use Android Auto. The truck is like my mobile phone. First month I go through all options and after that, anything I don't use regularly, I forget it is there.

This also works to quickly reboot the OEM Synch Navigation if / when it freezes up. Can be used while moving.
Another way to reboot the center display is to :
Press the Volume Knob and the Seek Forward button simultaneously for 10 seconds.

It's a great alternative for when the door handle nipple won't respond at all

Ok... I thought I was the only victim of the non-responsive door lock touch sensor. It seems to work every time when I have the key fob but it sometimes doesn't work while using PAAK. It seems to happen about 10 percent of the time, but it is very frustrating (and embarrassing) when you're standing there trying to lock the doors.

I‘ve mentioned this before - I got used to locking my truck as I exit by pressing the lock button on the inside of the door starting with my 2000 F150. The muscle memory is still there and it avoids the inconsistency of the touch sensor.

I do the same, but every now and then the horn will beep and the doors will unlock and then I use the button on the handle to lock it. Anyone know why the locking gets "undone"?

Only time that happens with me is if the lights are in on-mode or the tailgate is down.

Only happens to me if I leave the fob in the truck.

Open Youtube, make sure you're signed in of course, then there is a "compass" icon in the top left. Click that, and you should see the option for Youtube TV toward the bottom.

Is it possible to install the YouTube app on the smaller screen? I have a 23 XLT SR.

I can't find a way to download YouTube, and I don't see the app in my Apple CarPlay apps list.

Not available to us with the regular screen. We miss out on a few things in the entertainment department. There’s a “magic box” device you can get that will allow you to do all the streaming and stuff, but IMO, spend the money on an iPad or something. Hotspot that in the car and you have something WAY more useful that just what’s tied to the infotainment unit.

Thanks for the pointer! -> Ordered. BuiltRight™ should owe you a commission now.
I was going to order that strap. I watched the installation videos and tips for installation like raising the seat bottom and keeping the seat bottom in the same position when unlocking and locking the back.

After learning how the release works I find that I can easily release the seatback lever by reaching my hand down and pulling up on the release so long as I lift the seat bottom first.

I store a First Aid Kit behind that seat in my XLT. I feel confident I can access it in an emergency that does not involve the loss of my right arm.

Depending on your trim, when you fold the driver's side part of the rear seat back down, there can be quite a bit of room back there, much of it behind the fuzzy wall covering stuff. I guess higher trim models have audio gear and such there?

I'm considering cleaning the grease in the area and replacing or modifying the fuzzy stuff so as to mount some sort of cargo net there....maybe sew a big panel with lots of mesh pockets for emergency or other infrequently used stuff.

It would seem logical that short range models have some empty space where the long range trucks hold their extra battery cells, but perhaps that's inside the sealed battery box?
That's exactly where I stow my 4x RUD snow chains in their bag.
