Nobody would want to believe it was their own kids fault.

Video is such a clickbait. How many gas cars caught fire and exploded since this one happened? The answer: a lot. Statistically an EV is far less likely to ever catch fire than a gas car. Gas is combustable and gas cars depend on a ton of tiny explosions to move, after all. The EV haters love to pull at people's fear strings. It is in their playbook, they think they can control people with fear

There is something ironic about the person that posted the video just happens to be an active YouTuber with a lot of these type of views. Not saying it was staged, but it sure is a crazy coincidence.

I read some studies that such the incident rate is approximately 80 times greater for ICEs relative to EVs

Or chosing to not engage.

Or waiting for more information before joining the conversation.
This right here. I'm honestly only back here because I am surprised this thread isn't already dead and wanted to see what the fuss was about.

Truck on fire. Big whoop 🙄. Car fires happen every single day. It's a complete non-story, and really isn't worth engaging (no offense, OP). The only thing worth reading this thread for is the confirmation that nobody was hurt (thank goodness).

There was one a truck the other day around our place on fire, I wonder if it made it to the internet?
any Tesla that gets/causes an accident gets on the news because its the poster child of the EVs lol. Media does whatever they can to get clicks
