Hey there. I am one of those who has the wiring on the driver's side but missing on the passenger side. I already installed the module but couldn't get the CCM in forscan, then I realized this :)

I ordered this part and planning to go directly from the driver's side, since it's much more easier from the posts I'm reading. The question is; I already have wires there, I'm planning to remove those, seal them well and zip-tie them there. That shouldn't be a problem, right?

You could just tap into the existing ones. It would make it easier. Then you won't have to remove the existing wires. Also you won't have to worry about unpinning then. It will also save you money on the pins or the pre-wired pins from ford.

you will have to 1. tap into the wires or 2. i found cutting up a comma ai q4 wiring harness just lets me plug and play and i can rewire it with a deutsch. ill include the pics of the comma ai before when i experimented with it and the finish also the diagram. questions ask away i learned alot from all the forums and the people on hear. here is the website for comma ai you will look for the ford harness q4. Also you will need to power it up in the ipma and i included the wiring diagram from the ccm to the ipma. if you go down the road of the buying the comma ai https://comma.ai/ i can tell you what wires to cut and resplice. you can on amazon and order the txl wires and match to the best of the colors.

If it was me, I wouldn't remove the current wires in the IPMA plug (pictured) but I would use a wire tap into each and run your new wires to the CCM plug. Removing those current pins and then inserting new ones into the IPMA plug is inviting problems and frustration. And who knows if they are actually attached to something else that you want to keep connected?

Yeah, I totally agree. I'll be using the t-tap connectors. Thank you all!

Correct, skip purchasing the bumper harness and make your own 4-wire harness from the IPMA (driver side module under the dash) to the new CCM. I think it is probably easier running your own new wires than trying to deal with replacing the bumper wiring harness.

Like @dr1983 says, use the deutsch connectors near the bumper by the new CCM to give the ability to unplug the CCM for future bumper removal.

Concentrate on the posts in this thread that give the all of the part numbers for this install. The pins and pigtails for the IPMA plug, the CCM plug and CCM part numbers are all listed, and were all available on Tasca.

The deutsch connectors and 25' lengths of the correct wire colors were available on Amazon.

Miscellaneous connectors, shrink tubes, etc are also all available on Amazon.

I don't understand the need for deutsch connectors, am I not just running the wires from the ebay plug directly to the driver's side plug? Wiring anything more than a guitar pickup is new to me, so I'm not exactly sure all of the connection points...

if you are running it directly to your plug on the driver side, then you dont, you will just run the wire all the way through the firewall from the CCM to driver plug. and that’s the only place you would have to add the connection to the correct wiring. But if you wanted to have it to be like mine, I did not know the wiring was missing on the plug on the bumper, but it was in the driver side and passenger side, so that’s why I added a connector to the plug on the driver side. so I did not cut into the existing wiring harness so I bought a harness from a company that has the male and a female plug and I just tapped into that so I didn’t damage my existing wiring

The Deutsch connector is placed behind the solid part of the bumper under the frunk tub where it is wired to the new CCM connector that plugs into the CCM. This allows you to remove the bumper that now has the new CCM bolted to it easier than trying to remove the CCM connector since you can place the Deutsch in an accessible area where you can easily use both hands vs. futzing with the CCM plug in a confined space. The Deutsch is optional, but can make your life easier, or a tech/body shop's life easier for any future maintenance or repairs.

Once you get to the part where you're disassembling your front bumper to install the CCM, it should make more sense.

When your bumper is off and you have the CCM bolted on, you can decide whether or not to use the Deutsch. They're cheap enough that it's good to have on hand. You can even add it afterward if you end up just running the new wires without it.

Nevermind, found the correct sub assembly for 24: NL3Z-9E731-A (Tasca part). Looks like the correct wiring harness for that is RL3Z-15K867-Q (Tasca)if you have the wiring. I suppose since I don't have the wiring, I can skip the harness and run a custom line to the IPMA, saving a bit of money.
Oh darn, I have a 2024 XLT and didn't see this post; I ordered the ML3Z-9E731-G assembly instead from the first post. Has anyone done this mod on a 2024 with the older part number successfully, or am I out a restocking fee/shipping? Looking through the actual part numbers in this assembly, I think the actual sensor is still the same ML3Z9E731E part number.
