what about those of us out of warranty now? Do we get excluded from TSBs?

Yes, but even those who have extended warranty will still have to pay the "Diagnostic" fee. I am assuming the Diagnostic Fee would be waived eventuallywhat about those of us out of warranty now? Do we get excluded from TSBs?
Is the drive on a MBR partition or GPT?I guess I had most of the modules updated, but I do have a GWM one that is underway now via FDRS. Hoping that brings some more stability to my CarPlay connection. None of my USB-C devices would work for it so I opted for updating via CAN do very slow. This happens from time to time where I prepare the USB stick just right and when plugging it in, the truck says charge only. Oh well, at least with the GWM update via CAN is available. Now if I had an APIM update I guess I would have to go and buy a new usb stick to get it working since that is USB update only.
That may be it. I will give that a go for the next USB-based update. Again, thanks for the sage advice. Is the drive on a MBR partition or GPT?
Needs to be partitioned as MBR.
The GWM could be a precursor to something else. An APIM might become available after the GWM is updated.I guess I had most of the modules updated, but I do have a GWM one that is underway now via FDRS. Hope so. There are some bugs in the APIM version I have now. Just finished the GWM module via CAN (hello two hours). I will see if it triggers an APIM.The GWM could be a precursor to something else. An APIM might become available after the GWM is updated.
It hasn't so far for the rest of us. But it likely will eventually.Hope so. There are some bugs in the APIM version I have now. Just finished the GWM module via CAN (hello two hours). I will see if it triggers an APIM.
What I did get made some significant improvements though. I had the usual DDM and PDM. Normally these don’t seem to make any change, now with the latest code my doors are sensitive and the black lock button actually works in first press. Since I got the truck this lock was hit or miss to where I just locked via the keypad. Nice to see this improvement. It hasn't so far for the rest of us. But it likely will eventually.

Hmm... maybe for the day, definitely not in the running for month or year. It's insane how presumptive people are that everyone understands all this crap.. and that is coming from someone with an IT background which like many industries is laden with acronyms. You win the MAOTD award! That’s what I was going for. Also sorry about that. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that not everybody is in the same headspace and engaged with this at the same level. The post was more for those who actively use the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) to update modules in their truck. The GWM (Gateway Module) is like the router of the truck enabling disparate networks to connect. CAN is (Controller Area Network). It is accessed via the On Board Diagnostics port and that’s what I used to update my gateway modules, whereas it normally has you do it via a usb key. I was lamenting about the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM). This is where the Sync system lives. When they update this, you get noticeable changes to the display. Sometimes in the form of new apps, icon layouts, etc. I was hoping to get a new version of this as the current latest version for 2023 and older has some significant bugs. You win the MAOTD award!
