Hey everyone. Does anybody know if the touch sensor request PID names were renamed or changed? I've finally had the chance to wrap up installing Passive Entry on my truck and when viewing live data (oscilloscope) neither of my doors (I did both driver and passenger handles) show up. I have not done the firmware update yet.

Overview: I did the driver's door handle last fall and was able to get it to show up by observing the LK_LF_LK_TCH/UL PIDs but now it doesn't after adding the passenger door handle today and retesting (hadn't tested since last fall). Thinking it was maybe a FORScan issue I upgraded (v2.3.65) and then I couldn't even find those PIDs to listen for. Reconnecting and not loading my previous profile the closest I could find was THS_DR_LF_L/U but those don't work either.

As an aside, the driver door open/close PID does work but that appears to be renamed to AJR_DR_DRV for me.

Any thoughts?
This is interesting and I'm curious to hear anyone else experiencing this? Why would they change PIDs for this? Makes no sense.

So it looks like the PIDs did change, at least for me. Attached is an image showing the four revised door handle touch parameters along with the driver door ajar parameter. Not sure how many have changed.

I contacted @Jesse-Infotainment for assistance with programming and final touch ups but everything works perfect!
@jwharvey1820 What final touchups did you have to do?

I finished installing mine, installed the firmware, and did the forscan changes. It does not work. I tried testing all the wires from the BCM all the way to the handle and they are all fine. Was there anything else you had to do special for the 24 XLT?

Do the sensors show up using the "Live Data" feature of FORScan (oscilloscope)?

I added them to the oscilloscope but they didn't change when I touched the sensors. I forget which ones I added exactly.

Try adding the values I posted previously to the BCM "view." e.g. driver's door would be:

THS_DR_LF_L
THS_DR_LF_U

You can also filter by "touch" and they'll show up. Note that these values differ from the ones that were originally posted at the start of the thread. I think at some point they changed. If the sensors don't register and you had continuity from the BCM to the handles it's most likely a FORScan entry that is incorrect or missing.

Reviewing photos I took, it looks like I put two wires in the wrong spots (off by one each) in the harness that connects to the BCM. I'll fix the wiring tomorrow and see if that resolves the issue. Thanks for the help.

Are you 100 % sure all of you wires are in the correct pin position.
i can look back and see if i can send the as built revisions i did

Fixed! I had crimped the connectors incorrectly onto the wires for the connector to the door handle. As a result, one of the wires broke and was only touching when I moved it a certain way. Anyways, I re-crimped all the pins correctly for that connector and it worked! Thanks for all the help everyone.

Here's some things that I think might help others doing it the same way as me, where I did not buy any wiring harness and my truck (2024 XLT) did not have the wiring from body to the BCM.

If your truck has the wiring from the body of the truck in between the door and to the BCM, you can make the wire harness to go from the doorhandle to the connector that attaches to the body connector with the following:
- 22 AWG wire (I used solid and you'll want 4 different colours)
- 1 Connector with 4 pins for door handle from AliExpress (make sure you pick connector and pins)
- 4 male pins that go on the other end of the wires from the door handle and go into the door side connector from AliExpress

If your truck, like mine, is also missing the wires from BCM to the door, you'll need the following in addition to the above:
- 4 female pins that will go in the body side connector either from AliExpress (pick 10pcs pin) or Digikey (1456968-1, make sure you order extras)
- 4 female pins with extra cutout for the connector that plugs into the BCM from Digikey (1924955-1, make sure you order extras)

Make sure to get a dupont crimper tool if you don't have one. Also, I recommend getting fabric wiring harness tape to wrap your wires together, protect them, and make them easier to fish. Good luck!
