I think we are all just eager to get in and play with a build a price tool and grasping at straws to find out when we will be able to.
My bet is Ford isn't going to open the order banks OR release price details until the reconciliation bill is sorted out. Ford should price accordingly to get max benefit....

It is supposed to be this Month, but I would bet on them kicking the can at least until the end of the year. I would say if it doesn't pass by March it is dead.

How do you feel about sneaking a Pro ER this way since the demand isn’t there yet? ?

Have I told you about my brokering fee? ???

?

I am considering whether I want to use one of our company reservations or my own reservation. I haven't decided yet.

I agree. I think its wrapped up into next years budget. It'll need to get resolved next 2-3 months or we get towards government shutdown. Nobody wants that. So i think we'll know one way or the other by end of year.

Something needs to get resolved by the end of the month or there is a shutdown (Federal Fiscal year starts on October 1). I. Betting on a continuing resolution though.

No, the budget is already done. This is new spending. The only real blocker right now is Senator Manchin. I don't know where he stands on the EV rebate but he wants the overall bill trimmed down and the Democrats absolutely need him to pass the bill.

I think Ford has a timeline based on when they are targeting to start production that has nothing to do with the government which may or may not add additional incentives. Ford will sell the entire first year if not more of production with or without incentives.

Biden has released his budget and Congress has agreed to a framework but the budget hasn't passed.

My work is Federally funded and this directly impacts us, so I track it closely.

My reservation date is 6/3/21. From what I have read that puts me somewhere in the 90000th group. With a production goal of 15,000 for 2022 and 55,000 for 2023 I should get my truck in 2+ years. Does this sound right?

I reserved on the same day and come up with the same math. Roughly late 2023, unless the conversion percentage is lower than expected.

Thanks.

The Lightning is my backup for the Rivian as I thought I might be able to get the Lightning before the R1T but ……. I am now thinking/realizing that getting an EV truck in the next 2 yrs. is a daydream.

I placed an order for a Mach-E Premium and hope to get it this year. I will keep my 2010 Tacoma until either the Lightning or the R1T are available.
