Nice improvement but it’s really missing a few key features that ABRP has which would make it hard for me to switch. Besides the fact it’s also less accurate. Things like: setting charger/arrival destination SOC, choosing fastest route vs. longer/shorter stops, showing number of chargers available, etc.

Also I think you really need the ability to choose a different charger. So for example if you know you like one charger because of the location, you can't seem to be able to click the charger it wants you to go to and change it to another. That is really handy with ABRP.

That would kind of defeat the purpose of route planning if you can't choose a different one. Google Maps for AA is odd also in that if you have only one charging stop, you can change it from the planning screen. Otherwise you have to start the route and then you can go back and replace the station. Guess we're all just spoiled by ABRP.

You cannot pre-plan a route with Apple Maps either, as it insists on using the last known SOC.

Another great point, I was just attempting this yesterday and that was pretty annoying.

I sure hope it live updates available charger info. Other apps seem to be able to grab that, so I’m sure the api allows it.

Good news on adapter confirmation.

Now come onnnnn precondition. We get that and they add propower back into the app my wish list will be about wrapped up. Nothing else to complain about.
It doesnt as of now. I agree. Because we take up 2 spots, I dont want it to route me to an 8 bay station that only has 1 bay available.
I also noticed that it difficult to figure out which ones its routing us to. Though this would be less of an issue if I was being routed with consideration for how many bays are available.

I have had to manually do the calculations. It has wanted me to stop on occasion more often than I need to. Seems better than it used to be, but I don’t assume it knows for sure. I usually do the math. For me, it’s part of the fun. I know for others it’s just stress.
Needs the advanced ABRP style options (more stops, short trip, etc).

I just downloaded Google Maps on my iPhone and I didn't see how to get this to work, in fact it didn't want to suggest any chargers even after adding my vehicle and port type. Maybe it's only with an Android phone.

Remember this thread is referring to Apple Maps on iPhone, not google. But yes google maps does have integration also but only for android.

Yup, someone mentioned it would work with Google, and maybe i misunderstood it would also work with an iPhone. No biggy, as I’m sure Apple will catch up. I’ve also gotten used to just planning before and adding each location to Notes, then clicking each address for the trip.
Of course, this won’t even be a thing once there are chargers all over the place like gas stations.

Apple and Ford are FINALLY updating the Apple Maps routing to show Tesla Superchargers on the nav! This has been a long time coming for us Apple peeps as myself and I’m sure others not that the Apple nav ev intergration is vastly better than the trucks onboard nav when it comes to estimated charge on arrival.

I’m a beta tester/developer for Apple and have been on 18.4 for several weeks now and still not showing all the Tesla stations available to my Lightning. I hope they get it fixed before it goes to the public

As reported already here, it's already gone public this week. It doesn't actually require 18.4.
