Any chance this was in Brewster? Planning a charge there tomorrow.Only a certain % of Tesla Superchargers were going to get the Magic Dock option.
Now that Ford, GM, and others are going to adopt the NACS plug, I am going to guess it will slow down the roll out of Magic Dock locations.
PS I used a Magic Dock two days ago in New York State. The cord is too short for the Lightning. Even if you put your front bumper right up against the bollards. I did use it...but had to park sideways and block a couple of other chargers. Fortunately there were 12 chargers at that location and only 1 was in use (by a Tesla).
The best solution will be when you get your Tesla plug adaptor sometime in the spring. Then you will be able to use most Tesla locations.

Thanks...tomorrow my journey to the base of Mt. Katahdin from Frederick, MD begins going up thru Allentown and across the Tappan Zee...to say I'm anxious about what I'll find in the way of chargers working and their speeds would be an understatement.I was in Batavia, NY
They have several in a shopping center parking lot.
My drives from the DC area to the Niagara Falls area only has two/three choices.Thanks...tomorrow my journey to the base of Mt. Same here.Dude. It was a joke.
Based on the pics shared in this article it looks to be the same situation at the TX install.Brewster has one pylon on the far left that is positioned so a Lightning can pull alongside it. I had no issues charging there last month. As I recall it was about $0.50/kWh.

Yep use the one all the way on the right away from the others and you won’t have issue. Stall 1A.Brewster has one pylon on the far left that is positioned so a Lightning can pull alongside it. I had no issues charging there last month. As I recall it was about $0.50/kWh.
They do unless you are a Retail Electric Provider registered with the PUCT which Tesla did in November 2021. AFAIK, none of the other providers like EA have done this.I thought TX had to charge by the min?
Thanks for the heads up, but the one in the DFW area is real. Electrek has a story, several tweets and the local Tesla FB group has multiple posts and videos from the SC showing the Magic Docks in use, one with a Lightning Platinum that they were testing with. They do unless you are a Retail Electric Provider registered with the PUCT which Tesla did in November 2021. Also, in checking the Tesla app, the TX and KY stations are not showing up (CA and NY still are). Maybe they are still in testing phase?? I would check @GDN and @LUXMAN before driving over.
Oh I believe it’s real, but I can’t choose it in their app under the “Charge your Non-Tesla” section. If you can’t choose it then you can’t unlock the dock. I understand you have a Tesla so maybe you can see it. But for those of us without a Tesla, it’s not showing up like the ones in NY and CA. There it allows to me to enter a stall number and unlock. Thanks for the heads up, but the one in the DFW area is real. It is reported that at 50% SOC they were pulling 130kW and at 65% SOC pulling 93kW. Seems to be a bit of an early taper.
Correct - I do have a Tesla, but I have the two different screens, one for normal Tesla charging and then the "Charge your non-Tesla". Your screen shot is accurate for both situations right now. The first day it was up and reported by @LUXMAN - it had people charging at it and showed a charger available count.Oh I believe it’s real, but I can’t choose it in their app under the “Charge your Non-Tesla” section. EDIT: Just checked again and it’s there. Shows 0 stalls available and a 10 minute wait. Will check again tomorrow.
EDIT 2: Checked this morning and still shows 0 stalls available. Must be how they are keeping it from being used by non-Teslas for the time being. If I click charge here all 16 stalls are greyed out and I can’t choose one to unlock.
