Agree totally but I fully expect mine to be literally kicked out the door last...
Ford pass app showing mine as in FMCC Parking lot...anyone know this area ?
Thats where mine was briefly, then it took a nice trip to New Boston Train Yard, and its been there since.

Yup; tried that too. No change (still “awaiting shipment”).
Me too, and I waiting at the train yard. However you have a earlier build than I do. So I am not sure whats going on anymore.

At last check with my dealer this past weekend, mine was showing produced on the VVR with a secondary note that it is awaiting sign off due in Spring 2022. There was no indication of a chip hold and neither NHTSA nor Ford showEd that my VIN was subject to an open recall as of this past Monday.

Well, this is odd, I got a ship notice a while ago, it was listing as inactive but registered with united road ligistics...figured it was traveling by train already with 7/17-23 delivery ETA.

Then...just now...ford emails me and says the truck just got built and rolled off assembly line. Pic included

PS: Who's truck is behind me!? :)

These emails with pics, while fun to have seem to be weeks late for some.

It hasn't been discussed much, but I believe if you have a VIN on United Road, you are truly being trucked all the way from the factory. Tesla used that service when they did most shipping by truck. My VIN doesn't show on their site and I believe it is because I'm coming by rail and won't ever be known in their trucking system.

EDIT - I've been given more information that indeed confirms United Road isn't likely a truck all the way from the factory. They indeed do last mile trucking as well as cross country. So if you do show up there it could be they are just picking you up from the rail yard and delivering to your dealer.

As an example however My Model 3 in 2018 left the factory on United Road - truck from CA to TX and I was driving it 3 days after it left the factory. That was truly the service we would all like today.

This morning my truck was driven 2.2 miles from the Clippert St parking lot in Taylor MI to… the Clippert St parking lot in Taylor MI! Must have been a coffee run! 😂

All I can do at this point is laugh, things will happen, at some point!

Ahh okay that makes sense! Well then I go back to my current hypothesis - Truck is on a rail or another vehicle, on the way to a United Road Logistics "Rolla Ramp" pickup in a town 45 mins from here, from there to the dealership. Using some Google-fu, my "Inactive" status with United Road means it's not with them yet, and others have shown that "CONVOY" on window sticker just designates the last leg. It can still be Factory --> Rail/Another Convoy --> Convoy--> Dealership

I'm able to search the back-end of United Road, and see vehicles arriving from that loading site to my dealership, and they appear there are "Waiting for Pickup" instead of Inactive. So I'm expecting it to suddenly change status from Inactive --> Waiting when it arrives at that spot.

Sooooon

This is a recent manifest from the central Mass Rail yard to my dealer.

Thanks - based on other feedback, I've also updated my post. Seems they do that last mile trucking.

Update on my shipping - I have a rail car NOKL798318 (if anyone else wants to see if we are traveling together.) it was released to move this morning 7/7 at 8 AM, but isn't scheduled to get through the interchange in IL until 7/11 at 9PM. Hoping it gets through quicker, but I don't know how tightly this scheduling all happens. From the interchange then it has to get to DFW.

Yup another day another disappointment from Ford. I have been buying Fords for 30 years and this is the first time I'm thinking of trying a GM or a RAM. We have people after our blend date already shipped or delivered. I'm starting to think I dont want this truck anymore because there may be something very wrong with it.

Not to dismiss your frustrations, but bold of you to assume GM or - even more so - RAM will introduce their pickups with no hiccups and show Ford how it's done. I expect equal shenanigans, and you should too.

People been underestimating the complexities of a BEV ramp-up for years now, and the amount of self-imagined narratives already online related to the Chevy truck EV is worthy of a good head shake. This is from the company that literally was selling exploding cars (yes, new battery supplier - but the point stands), given this much cachet before they even produce 1 truck....

I've got a day 1 order here, with the Cybertruck, and the Chevy - I have no brand loyalty. Make a good product, and we'll see!
