✅ Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

March 2/3 order (ordered after hours 3/2 so it shows up as a 3/3 order) and my account is still stating it will be shipped December 2024. It will probably roll over to January 2025 tomorrow or January 2. I hate to be the guy that complains about getting something nice for free, but these delays are unreasonable; have had three road trips that I would have liked to have the adapter for. I am 45000 so I am likely looking at end of January early February.

Samesies. March 2 ordered. No word from Frod. 65,000 miles since April ‘23. Regular, long, and horrible trips relying on EA. Next one starts the 15th. I pull a trailer and get 1 m/kWh. So I try to get 80 or so miles between 30 minute charges. It takes 28 hours to travel what always took 14 hours.
Yes it’s free. But driving a Lightning is hugely expensive. I value my time.

Update. It still has not arrived. Only ~42k more to go. . So did Ford when they said it was a mistake when they accidently sent an estimated ship date of January 2025? NO! Because at this rate it will be around August. It's at a pace of about ~8k per month vs. the 8k per week they stated they were up to in manufacturing.

Yet there was some talks about a Lectron version being shipped instead. I have yet to see people post those, unless it looks the same at the tesla version.

Fed ex shows my replacement adapter is out for delivery today, I was a first few hours order originally somewhere around #6500 and got my first one in June.

Are there separate queues for the adapter reservations? In other words, are MME and F150L reservations all grouped together and we've now eclipsed 40K?

Lightning orders shipping and being received are also in the same region count wise.

Yes, they're apparently going to go back in time to ship mine too. Realistically, I'm 131xxx, so at the current rate I'd expect it to be at least another 6 months.

I do not take this as a complaint and "free" really is a matter of perspective. I bought my '24 Lariat in August and the dealer was very much pushing that you could charge at "10s of thousands" Tesla Superchargers now. Of course being educated on the situation I asked about if the adapter would be delivered with the truck and I was told that they didn't have them in stock, so Ford would ship it directly within a week or two.

Right.

Of course after I found this forum and the reality set in that I wouldn't get the adapter for months and maybe more than a year, I feel that the promise was broken.

The dealership did set an expectation, whether condoned by Ford or not, that the adapter was included in the purchase of the $80k vehicle. I may feel differently if I had bought my Lightning before Ford entered into the agreement with Tesla for charging and getting an adapter after the fact was a freebie, but not in this situation.

Were you given a heads-up? Did it just, finally arrive?

Well, No and Yes, Initially got an email heads from FedEx, on 12/26, and they said it would arrive by 12/30/2024. It did not indicate Ford in the message, by it was from Dearborn, Mi, so my fingers were crossed. Then I got multiple text messages from FedEx and they said it would arrive 12/28, then delayed to 12/29 and it did arrive, 1 day before the FedEx email.

...AND then, this afternoon (01/02/2025, 2:09 PM), I got an email from Ford, subject: "We've shipped your adapter" - The "Track page" links goes to FedEx and it says: "Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later." - SO, Yes, Ford gave me a heads up, but, unlike their OTA updates, I received the delivery BEFORE being advised it was coming
