Slight update, now the power station is showing a solid blue set of bars. As soon as I try to plug the truck in I hear a click and it returns to the right sided single amber light without charging. A few seconds after unplugging the truck it goes back to the solid blue bar.

I tried turning the amps down in the app for something to try but it doesn't seem to save.
The APP to FCSP communications is trash when trying to adjust the amperage rate, it's a flaw in the current and recent FP versions................

How about trying a factory reset on the charger using the app?

I used to get around 280 miles on 100% charge. Now I get 190 to 210 miles on 100% charge.
Quantify this.
Was it displayed range?

Is it cold now where you are?

Are you constantly charging to 100%?

Looks like he's in warm climate, I'm curious to understand the drastic changes, a 25 to 30% drop in winter for folks in harsh cold is understandable, but San Diego???

My displayed range at 100% is 317 miles. I normally charge to 90%. At 90% charge my displayed mileage range is about 290. At a 90% charge I get 180 to 190 miles driven. This shows a 1.7 mi./kW number. As it goes now if I drive 35 miles I use 70 miles and range. If I drive 50 miles I’ll use 100 miles and range.

Dealer told me it’s probably gonna be battery replacement this time because one of my batteries is unstable.
I live in San Diego extremely mild all the time..

We all experience the initial drop in projected ideal range, especially if our driving habits don't measure up to a 2.4 MPK value.

What is your typical remaining SOC after driving 180 to 190 miles?.

NOT dismissing the fact that you may have a battery problem, but few of us get theoretical ideal performance

As bad as the GOM is normally, it undoubtedly will be worse when you have a battery problem like you’re experiencing.

I get what you’re saying 100%, for the first year I had the truck I didn’t really have any issues, my round-trip every day was about 70 miles and I would use about 75-85 miles in range depending on traffic in the morning or traffic in the afternoon. Even at 100% charge you’re not gonna get 320 miles. That first 20 miles would drop super fast. But then it would level off. I could drive to work for three days on a 90% charge. Now I can’t do that, I can only do two. I love the truck I just want it to work like it used to.

This was my last charge to 100%. I keep the truck at 72°, I drive 66 to 69 miles an hour. I don’t normally take the truck down to this low of a charge, but I’ve been doing it lately to see what the truck will actually achieve and it’s not what it used to do.

Keep calling ford customer service. They will issue you a replacement in a few weeks. Your fcsp is defective, just like mine. See threads below.

I recently have been having charging problems with the ford csp. My charger is solid blue and when I plug it into the vehicle, I get the solid amber light on the right of the charger. I tried numerous resets and it will not charge. I looked in my ford pass app and I can see the charging is at a “pause” and I am unable to make any changes or control the csp. I contacted ford customer support and initiated a case on the csp. So after a week or so, my case got escalated and now I’m waiting for ford to send a new replacement csp so I can send the defective unit back. It takes a couple of weeks, but ford is good at honoring a replacement unit for the defective unit.

Got my replacement FCSP and installed it yesterday. Charged twice since install and all is well. FCSP works fine and just waiting for updates to it. Packed up the defective unit and just shipped it back via fedex. Thanks FORD

My travel charger was dropped off January 27th at Ford. After several texts, they said they would call me , as they felt it was the truck and not the charger. In the meantime, I have been using a Juicebox charger that I purchased, and it has worked flawlessly. Still waiting for the promised phone call.

I have zero confidence in Ford or their flawed chargers. Hoping for a full refund, but doubt that will ever happen

Any idea if Ford covers the cost for an electrician to check the charger and replace the defective unit?

Contact Ford customer experience specialist. They will have you go through a series of test to reset the csp. After going through the hoops ,and they determine that the csp is defective, they will then have you wait a week to 10 days before sending a replacement.

As for having an electrician come out and replace and install the fcsp, you can always ask Ford for compensation. I was comfortable enough with removing the defective unit after turning the circuit breaker off, and installing the replacement unit myself. Ford did check back with me after a week or so and was nice enough to compensate me with an extended warranty till June 2027 or 75,000 whichever comes first. I was happy with the end result. The extended warranty was offered by Ford and I did not ask for it.

Another update, thanks everyone for the feedback.

Ford will be replacing the power pro station at no cost. Everyone was great to deal with and was very reasonable. Little disappointed that will take awhile to get everything back like it was but it's understandable these things can break.
