Anyone experience major malfunctions with their Lightning?

38k km on mine in just over a year. Zero issues requiring service. I kept my Equinox as a backup but haven't even started it up in a year.

Only issue I’ve had is slight inboard front tire wear and at 4,400 miles. Dealer rotated and aligned and no more issue.

Had recall on low voltage battery sensor replacement. Dealer came to my house and swapped the part in my driveway.

What did the "Powertrain malfunction" turn out to be?

160 miles on mine and my "frunk" already broke. Only used it 5x for show and tell.

I noticed one other post above about frunk issue. What broke?

the issue I’m running into is that the dealerships want nothing to do with the EVs

Where are you located?

Also, it might help others to know the non-EV motivated dealers you encountered... maybe someone here can recommend the nearest dealership that won't be out of business in ten years (because they realize EVs ARE the future).

I ended up finding a dealer that was motivated and treated me decent. No like a VIP but they got the whole thing done in two weeks. I needed some new batteries and charging modules.

Two years and 35k miles. Several recalls but no real problems. My dealer has been selling/servicing EVs for years so I think they pretty much know what they are doing even if I do keep getting asked if I want my oil changed.

Ours is three months old. As fun as The Millennium Falcon, and hyperdrive hasn't failed us once!

2 years and 4, 3000 mile road trips, and a couple towing trips to the gulf coast. 38000 miles and the only problem I’ve had was it lost Blue Cruise due to a problem updating a module. Dealer fixed it no problem. I am on my 2Pnc set of tires due to a sidewall puncture from driving on gravel roads in western OK and Eastern CO. Love this truck and don’t miss my 2010 F150.

I'm about to take possession of my Lightning and trying to decide how long I should keep my older F150 as a backup.

now nearing 15k miles, Sparky has been flawless. absolutely love it!
