My bypasses only control Pedestrian sounder speaker noises. Not the frunk as that is an entirely different buzzer.Unfortunately that totally disables both.
You would think one could install a lowpass filter in front of the speaker, to block out "beeps" while allowing the UFO noise. Anyone tried this?
Yeah this thread is confusing but I am actully talking about the backup sound, which comes from the pedestrian speaker. The issue is, that one speaker does two things... the low-speed UFO sound (which is a low frequency) and the backup garbage truck beep (which is a high frequency). The concern is, if you just totally disconnect the speaker, you lose all sound. When really all we want to eliminate is the garbage truck beep. I am going to try installing a low pass filter to see if I can do that.My bypasses only control Pedestrian sounder speaker noises. Not the frunk as that is an entirely different buzzer.
OK, so I finally got around to working on this this weekend, and it was quite the adventure.Sounds good. Keep us posted.
This is not part of the pedestrian speaker. There is a speaker in the rear that still has yet to be located if I remember correctly. So I got the speaker removed which takes care of the frunk beep, but is there one for the power tailgate beep when activated by the remote? Does anyone know if is this part of the pedestrian speaker?
I do know there is a Vuvuzela-like device that sits around the top of the spare tire. I've seen pictures from our teardown on @TTT truck (https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/lightning-and-identity-theft.12185/), but I cannot share it.This is not part of the pedestrian speaker. Every time you disconnect the 12 volt battery the frunk has to be closed manually. Stupid Ford. Just force it down slowly and when it gets to the bottom it will suck itself down with the power latch.I tried pulling & restting the fuse which did nothing. I ended up manually opening the frunk & it started working after that.
Post a pic of the dash error. Could be something else you did.I have a 2023 Lariat with the extended battery and I did get an error on my dash screen after removing this so there must be a code associated with it. Does anyone here who took theirs off have a 2023 model? I don’t know why that would be different from 2022 but I don’t know why I would be the only one getting a message.
