Ford had said via email that you had to order by 4/24, this past Monday. Like many, I did not order. Last email from Ford was on 4/12. Today, I got the $100 deposit back on my credit card. My account no longer shows a reservation, it shows "Ready To Order", and "Order by 5/8/23".

I'm not ordering, buying a demo.

I had hoped for the refund and then some incentive, that's why I didn't cancel my reservation. Oh well...

Right, I was just stating that the reservation was gone.

My dashboard page still shows a reservation. Takes me to the same "Time to order page" I've always got with the build I had started. I have two accounts and both reservations are still there.

There is such a backlog on orders that there’s no reason for Ford to provide any special “incentive”. There’s a long line of people willing to take your build slot.

That is common belief.

Here's what I think. Ford had 200,000 reservations. I believe well under 100,000 of those converted to actual orders. The 2023 prices, plus deletes, scared people off.

I think when people look at the 2023 prices, and soon the 2024 prices, they are shocked.

But, I have no facts, just belief.

I can tell you that I didn't have a very hard time finding a 2022 Lariat demo with under 500 miles on it. In fact, I referred a person on one of them, and have a handful of others I found, and I was only considering 2 colors...

I cancelled mine couple weeks ago on Ford.com and despite getting a new credit card # due to fraudulent charges, the $100 was credited back to my account the same day.
The dealer where I where I made my reservation currently has 7 new Lightnings (3 Platinum and 5 Lariats), 17 used (8 platinum and 9 Lariats) on their lot. This is just one dealership in my city and they are not the biggest Ford dealership. There is no backlog on orders any more. The price increases and all the ADM crap are what did it for me, good luck to Ford selling the remaining Lightnings.

I have to agree. I don’t think there are many waiting anymore. Sure there are some but not like it was 6 to 8 months ago.

I agree. I remember the @FordVideoGuy saying that ford planned to cancel all of the reservations at the end of August, that had not been converted to orders. I was surprised to see an email from Ford of Canada a few weeks ago indicating the date had been moved up to May 12. I know my dealer had 6 allocations for November. I ordered 1 at that time and they ordered 5 units for dealer stock. I believe a lot of people decided not to order because of the price increases, the interest rate increases and the possibility of a recession on the horizon.

I think they got tired of sending invites to order and people not ordering or canceling. So they just invited everyone left. Most of our customers canceled or just didn't order.

I truly didn't think Ford could get the truck ramped to the numbers they talked about, but if they are building 5K a week now I'm sure all orders are scheduled and they are building for stock or more for fleet.

There are plenty of countries they could export the left hand drive version. Also, I've not heard but do they plan on making a right hand drive version?

If they plan on keeping the prices up they better start finding a place to ship them too.

One example posted in a FB group:
A new '22 red Platinum in Ardmore, OK for $5K under 2022 sticker at $89204. Doesn't mention mileage, but had no deletes on it, was their mannequin.

They have a long way to go, full ramp up is coming this summer, it will be interesting to see what the order rates are like when they open ordering to the general public.

Thanks for sharing, I haven't looked at any of the run rates in a while like this, but truly thought someone posted a window sticker a couple weeks back that showed there were over 5000 scheduled in a week. I was surprised at that, but also now know that number wasn't right or I read the wrong number for that weeks build.

To hit 150K year, assuming they only run 48 weeks out of the year (they have a couple of shut downs typically planned for holidays I think) then would have to hit 3125 a week to get to that run rate. As you note they are still a long ways from that. I'll continue to maintain they will never hit that.

When Ford announced the resolution of the battery issue, they also consolidated multiple weeks of production and scheduled production into a gross number of 3144 units
