Battery Level in Apple Carplay (Apple Maps) no longer available

While using Apple Maps, the battery information is no longer available. This started happening yesterday. Has anyone else seen this? It was always pretty accurate before.

I've had it happen several times and it typically restores within a few minutes. Usually happens when I'm in an area with limited cellular connectivity (canyons/steep valleys).

This is true but for me yesterday it just never came back at all. That’s the first time I’ve seen it not work for an entire drive (1hr drive).

I don't think so, it is working on our MachE currently, it is just the Lightning that is broken.

I doubt our trucks updated the same time. It's more likely Apple updated their maps at the same time. I'm sure they have settings or profiles different between the Lightning and Mach-e.

I do believe that part of the spec to enable this feature includes an API handshake over the internet. Meaning it can be a backend issue at Ford. It also could be iOS 18.3.1 which was released earlier this week that may be causing issues?

Update: I drove a total of 212 miles today and the closest it came to being accurate was at the end of the day at 30 miles from my house. It stopped giving me the battery accuracy warning and was off by 3%(less than what I actually had) pulling into my driveway.

Got the same error just a couple of hours ago on an hour long drive. It eventually came back but it said my percentage when arriving at my destination would be 47%, but it was actually 45% when I got home. It's the first time I've seen it not accurately update as the drive went on.

Mine eventually was totally off. I removed it from Apple Maps and I’ll see if it comes back properly.

Mine’s not updating either. Since Tuesday I think. Not 100% sure when it started but still not working as of my drive home this evening.
