I've been experiencing a weird issue with my '22 Lariat SR for the past couple of weeks -- I charge it overnight on a L2 charger with target charge 95%, but when I check FordPass app in the morning it shows that charge is 100%. Then I go to the truck and unplug (all 5 blue lights solidly on, indicating 100% charge), and then I get in and start the truck and the GOM shows 84% charge -- huh?? The second time this happened, I drove it around for 15 mins, then plugged in again (to a different L2 charger), and the same thing happened -- the charge history for the second charge shows that it started at 76% (correct) and ended at 100% (incorrect, as the GOM showed 84% again after starting). The charge history also shows energy added 24 kWh, yet it was only plugged in for 1hr57min at 30AMP, and my home electric monitoring shows 10.6 kWh usage during that time.

Has anyone experienced this before? I'm worried that my battery has degraded or something and some part of the electronics thinks it's at 100% yet another part knows that it's actually at 84%.

Also, note on the pics that FordPass does have the mileage correct at 175mi when it shows 100% charge, same mileage estimate as the GOM.

First rule of weird computer stuff.... Reboot.

Try disconnecting the negative terminal of your 12 volt battery for 15 minutes and see if it corrects itself.

Check and adjust the settings in the truck.

But it has turned into a huge fiasco.
Ugh, I just read your saga, that sounds painful.

I'm going to try disconnecting the negative 12V battery terminal today and see if that fixes anything, but I suspect it won't and I'll be scheduling a visit to the service dept.

Update: Took truck to the dealer yesterday, was diagnosed with a bad module that will need to be replaced and I shouldn't drive the truck until it's fixed, so they gave me a loaner. No estimate yet on when new module will arrive, could be weeks.

This is my second module replacement, the first one (over a year ago) I only found out about because Ford emailed me to let me know that a single cel in a single module had a bad voltage reading, which they determined by over the air diagnostics. It was still charging to 100% at the time so nothing seemed wrong on my end. You would think they could have proactively diagnosed an entire module not working this time around, would have been nice if they did instead of me wondering WTF was wrong with my charging for a few weeks, attempting voodoo fixes, and then taking it to the dealer for the diagnosis which took an entire day.

Have you checked for the Safety Recall 25S18 to see if you fall into that hole as well
Yes I did -- I 'm not on that recall.

I have you on my spreadsheet for March, 2023, so about 2 years ago.
I didn't realize somebody here was tracking bad modules, that's a great idea. I do worry that Ford could have a massive liability with these bad batteries. Just fixing one must cost them at least $2k (new battery module, shipping across country in some cases, rental/loaner for 2 weeks, EV technician installation which takes most of a day). How many do you have tracked on your spreadsheet to date?

Click on the link in my signature! Too many! and now a possible 900+ more for the HV Battery Electrode Misalignment Safety Recall 25S18.

I have been having the same problem lately, FordPass shows 100% when GOM shows 80% after charging with Pro Charger. I have also been having issues with extremely slow charging above 70% SOC. Based on this thread I have decided to get my truck into the dealer to have it checked out.
