I've seen variability from 30ish cents all the way up to 75 cents. Tesla's variable-rate pricing is where I believe most will eventually land.

Some Tesla SC are fixed all day; others vary by time of day.

I found out on my road trip that more remote, local Tesla SC are fixed prices (lower with membership).

My local Tesla SC I charge once a week varies during the day while the most expensive is after 4pm.

I currently use the A2Z adapter at Tesla SC and pay $0.34 / kWh with Tesla monthly membership.

It's cheaper than charging at home.

Fine print alert: you can only visit 5 superchargers per day at the discounted rate. Prob not an issue unless you are on a long road trip.

That detail I did not know about.

So far on road trips, it's been 1 Supercharger per day at most.

That should be a non-issue. The most times I have charged in a day on a trip is 4, and that was when I charged at the destination before bed. If you leave at 8AM with 100%, charging 5 times would be a challenge.

So what will be your charging routine?
I also have 2 local superchargers that are cheaper than my $0.33 at home. I only charge once a week for work, I'll probably use Tesla every other week as to not use supercharger every week for battery health. My 2 locals superchargers are $0.20 and $0.27 but this is before 4am which is on my way to work at 5am next to Starbucks.

Outside of any charging memberships, it's my understanding that non-Teslas will pay 30% more than whatever the going rate is for Teslas at that particular Supercharger site.

If Tesla membership is a 25% discount, then non-members 33% more than members.

I have not seen that anywhere. Do you have a source for that?

I have seen/heard it a couple of times now on YouTube Channels like "Out of Spec" and "State of Charge" when the NACS adapters from Ford first came out. It makes sense and this is what I am expecting, but I have no first-hand experience...yet. Even with a 30% non-Tesla markup, I expect the rates to be more consistent and in some cases cheaper than other public charging options.

We have a Model Y too and plan to use Superchargers whenever possible (on road trips) to charge both vehicles after my complimentary Ford adapter arrives. I also plan to use the Tesla app I already have on my phone to initiate charging at Superchargers.
