I’ll re read the article but it said govt vehicles (which I agree need charging ) but also made reference to govt employee vehicles that charge while at work? If it’s a vehicle that is used for site work such as tax assessment / ect I agree but it seemed more like you or me just

My guess is this will go very similar when musk bought twitter. They will cut too much but will correct what they need pretty quickly.

You don’t think govt employees are coming into work and using free charging ? You could be right and if that’s the case I fully agree with you but the article seems to say otherwise.

Correct but it says private vehicles won’t be able to going forward. Not saying this is an issue per se just interesting why they included private vehicles right next to govt vehicles. maybe private vehicles pay but won’t be able to use going forward but that makes so sense. But there’s a lot of things that don’t make sense in our govt.

if any govt employee in Virginia /Washington has a firm answer on this vs speculation.

It is becoming clear, the Administration isn't just pro-oil, but punitive EV. In case an employee drives a EV they won't find a charger to use that is close to the office.

First of all, it is not a maybe. Personally owned vehicles using a government charging station were paying for the charge just like they would at any other ChargePoint or similar stations. Period. End of thought.

Secondly, the charging stations are being shut down. Nobody can use a shut down charging stations. Also end of thought. There is nothing more complicated than this.

Again , history repeats itself. Washington is about to go through what twitter did. Twitter runs just fine with 80% less employees.did it have a few hiccups along the way? Yes. Govt/DOGE will eventually find what is essential and once they do I’m sure those chargers will be turned backed on eventually. But there’s next 6 months to a year will be messy but the only alternative is to do what govt has been doing and it’s not sustainable. Everyone wants govt to be smaller until it affects them personally and that’s why nothing gets done. Let’s revisit this issue in a year and see what the actual outcome was. If there are a bunch of lightnings / teslas / evs sitting dormant I’m sure the govt will realize they are cheaper than a bunch of ICE vehicles running around.

Good to hear. I’m glad you know personally and will take your word until further notice. I think it’s a mistake to get rid of those chargers then .

The quantity is so few, it is functionally irrelevant. And of those few, most are not Teslas, which won't be using the Tesla network. I realize people need to find or makeup some excuse to hate whoever it is cool to hate today. But this is non-sense.

I'd be a dictator, I have ZERO patience for incompetence.

Side note:

I'm scratching my head over last Thursday's news report the IRS has separated ~6700 probationary employees, of this population, about 5000 Revenue Officers (what I used to be) and Revenue Agents (the auditor geeks) !!!

These folks were hired under the provisions of the inflation reduction act over the past couple of years, take note the meme's and rumors that IRS hired 87,000 people is a fallacy, the "law" permitted them to hire this quantity over TEN YEARS!!!

Now, the head scratcher, these new employees, were still going through the initial year of training and coming up to speed, it takes several years to become fully effective collectors an auditors, money down the drain.

These folks would cross fill older staff who are on the verge of retiring, I retired on 2/28/2019, along with thousands every year retiring, the IRS would barely be keeping pace with aged attrition.

Now for the nut-kicker, the revenue to salary efficiency of an auditor or collector was at a minimum of 10 to 1 to as high as 50 to 1 depending on the case work and compliance failures in certain parts of the nation.

I'm failing to see the EFFICIENCY in this decision to discharge probationary staff.

Yes, there will be lots of used ev's on the market, in a couple of years as more people buy more ev's and sell their older ones, just like any other vehicle.
