Finally installed the CSP delivered with the Lightning 2 years ago. Have successfully been using a 50A wall charger.

CSP seems to be powered up (blue light on). Trying to connect to it over WIFI and cannot detect the wallbox network. Bluetooth off as suggested. Typed in Station ID and password multiple times.

Am I missing anything..?

Not sure if anything to do with it but it has been below freezing (in Houston, TX!) for a couple of days.

Many threads on the subject "Cannot connected Ford Charge Station Pro to WiFi". Don't follow them as I don't have one, sorry.

What do you mean by "the Wallbox network"?

I don't have a FCSP myself, but I assume you're following the steps here: https://www.ford.com/support/vehicl...i-set-up-my-ford-charge-station-pro/overview/ and the FCSP has never been set up before?

Yes, the FCSP is not broadcasting its network to be captured in Ford Pass in order to connect. Ended up on the phone with FordPass support for an hour. Apparently this is a common problem and a ticket was set up to be worked on this coming week. We will see...

This was a major pain in the, well you know. It’s probably a tech issue, but it literally took about the time it said to connect but that was helping it along resetting the app. Make sure Bluetooth is off like really off, don’t know why that made such a difference because the frequencies should be far different, maybe interference?

Before you get assistance from the help desk, check the remembered wifi networks you have on your phone, review all of them and disable automatic reconnect for all of them until your finished configuring the FCSP to connect to your home network.

Once the connection has been established FCSP to local network, you can proceed with associating the FCSP device to your Fordpass, this phase can be glitchy as well.

Once that's done, be patient, association of the FCSP & Fordpass visibility on the cloud may take 30-60 ++++++ minutes.

Once that's done, you can restore auto connect networks on your phone per your preferences.

Keep in mind that once the FCSP has established a good connection to a host network, it ceases broadcasting it's SSID publicly, the only way to view it is via the Ford Charge Station Setup app.

You can also see it on your wifi network control panel as a connected device, IIRC it's listed as a Texas instruments device, I renamed it to something logical like FCSP.

Good luck.

View of my FCSP via Xfinity wifi router, I use a POD extender to enhance signals to my detached garage, FCSP Setup app station details scree, shows you the software version, you'll likely get an update ~24 hours after first connection to the network, a power cycle a couple days later will implement the software revision.

I had my FCSP installed this week too and had a difficult time connecting it. Ultimately, for me, once I killed the nearby WiFi extender that was running a 2G/5G signal, everything connected up and worked as expected.

I had better luck connecting with the FCSP using a 5 gHz Wifi access point. And that was with a 2.4/5 gHz AP within 6 feet of the FCSP and the truck.

An update on the issue:

Ford technical support determined that the issue is with the FCSP unit and sent a new one.
New one installed, same issue, reported this to Ford and the proposed solution is to send another new one.
What Ford does not realize is that I have to hire an electrician every time I install the charger so I am not going to bother. I can track charging status via the F-150.

This has happened a lot. Happened to me.

The wifi signal from the FCSP is apparently intermittent and weak.

Sometimes using the red reset button on the circuit board helps. I had to do that more than once to get in contact with my FCSP.

Also, use 2.4G which can get through walls and so forth better than the wifi 5G.
Be sure to login to your wifi using the correct 2.4G login info with FordPass before you start the FCSP install app.

Even when you do everything right sometimes it takes several tries to connect to the FCSP.

I got to the last step which is add the FCSP to FordPass and never got it to do that - always got an error message. Lately, I can't even see the FCSP on the install app, but I do not feel like opening the case and pressing the red button anymore.

The good news is, you can still charge the truck setting things up using the truck menu (start time, %, etc.)

As a side note, even people who get it set up to 'work' with FordPass have glitches where it does not work the way they tell it to using FordPass.

Ford Customer Service knows how bad it is, they said when I called that it is a source of problems and complaints...

Some folks had warranty returns then got one that worked better, others not so much.

Welcome to the world of the FCSP, nice in theory but the follow through leaves a lot to be desired.

Blame Siemens maybe? The made the darn thing.
