I purchased mine middle of March 2024. We did all the paperwork through DocuSign as the dealer was in Maryland and I am in Texas
FWIW is what my buyer order shows:
1. Price of vehicle, which is not the MSRP, but the negotiated price prior to the discounts
2. Various taxes and fees.
3. Total vehicle price with taxes and fees.
4. $7500 (deposit submitted with order) which was the fed money
5. rebates.
6. Balance due on delivery.

my letter from the IRS appears to have incorrect VIN number!

You might want to contact the IRS about this in advance of filing, they may be able to guide you on a solution, ideally you should file your 8936 with correct VIN of your truck, hoping that doesn't cause a processing error, this to will be a test of the "Error Resolution & Matching processes" at IRS, there has to be a process for errors and omissions.
