I would think not! especially since it's additional weight plus/minus the aerodynamic gainz :like: , and that does not include the additional payload (driver, spouse, children, pets, etc.)

But be sure to watch the video anyway 🙂
thank you for your service :fistbump:

Best thing is that it doesn't hurt you much at all range wise. Like the video says, make the decision based on if you want one, not range. The picture I use to the left is one of the ~3 days my truck spent tonneau-less right after purchase.

I did two 140 mile loops one with the Tonneau on and then with it off. The mi/kWh and energy used was almost identical. Be sure to check it out 👊

Yeah it really is about protecting gear from the weather and people. It was interesting the Ford engineer said they showed it made a difference with a gas F150 in a wind tunnel though

MythBusters and others have shown years ago that tonneau covers don't add range. Ford designed the modern F-150 tailgate to make it even more efficient. This has been debated ad nauseum on truck forums for years and years. Nothing new here.

Be sure to watch it I have Adam from Mythbusters in a clip explaining the why it shouldn’t make a difference but a literal Ford engineer saying it did in a wind tunnel test with a gas F150. Nobody I’ve seen has done an actual test in the Lightning so I did. Real world testing with the actual truck is always better IMO
