It's a capacitive touch system. It can be a problem when wet or iced up. To open, you place your hand inside the handle and it unlocks, don't touch the outside button. To lock, push the outside button only. As always, you need a key in proximity.used to be able to lock and unlock my door when I put my thumbprint on the handle.
I have a 22 and can confirm that the WAL now works. Dealer updated it for me when it was in the shop for 2 bad battery modules
Sounds like the dealer updated the BCM on yours if you have WAL as it's not officially available for 22/23 MY. WAL still seems to be working on mine though. You could try disabling/enabling but that requires FORScan to get the on-screen toggles. Have you received any updates recently.
And I've always grabbed the handle to unlock but the piece that looks like a button with the lock symbol on the front of the handle still locks the truck if I touch it.

Do you have a new truck that came with walkway?
Another quick way to lock your vehicle is to press the bottom 2 buttons on the SecuriCode keypad on the pillar.Hello all - I used to be able to lock and unlock my door when I put my thumbprint on the handle. There was also a feature that my truck would lock on its own when I walked away. Does anyone have the 411 on those features?
Thanks
This is what I do most times as a PAAK user because it’s quick and easy. I hate fiddling with the button on the door handle that rarely seems to work for me.Another quick way to lock your vehicle is to press the bottom 2 buttons on the SecuriCode keypad on the pillar.
