Here I am complaining about not receiving any OTAs in months and lo and behold, I got one today for the gateway module ECG-24.2.5.7.

I went to the store not more than 10 minutes from the house, by the time I shopped and returned home I got a successful update notice when I turned off the truck.
That funny! I was complaining to myself for the last few months about the lack of updates, and low-and-behold, an update, even though I don’t know what is meant by the description of what the update is all about!

Happy to report after being out of the country since 2/25, I got in my truck this evening and received this update. Last one was 10.1.1 on 12/18/24. ‘23 Platinum, not in EAP.

Hey guys - new here, but want to share some info in case anyone else experiences this.

On February 28, 2025, the truck stopped accepting a charge from both the professionally installed Stage 2 charger and the mobile Stage 1 charger—coinciding with a Ford OTA software update and a “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” warning in the FordPass app.

Not sure what the issue is yet, in the shop, but seems too coincidental to be chance.

What was the time lapse (minutes, hours, a day) from OTA install and your failed charging experience?

It was same day, but not entirely sure of the time difference as I don't know what time the OTA update was installed. But that same afternoon - it all stopped.

Thank GOD!
I felt so alone.
LOL. The next one will be cr
Some intern in Ford's software development broom closet just turned on a desktop PC running the deployment system.
I'm thinking maybe someone tripped on and pulled out that PC's 120 foot 20-gauge extension cord strung across the wall and on the doorway floor before that. LOL.

Anyone noticed weirdness with preferred charging times and Charge Station Pro after this update?

It’s constantly “starting charging”, then says “scheduled” then the charge station resets and it loops. I had to remove the charging times to be able to even charge normally because clicking “start” would cause the charger to loop and the airflow flap on the front to go up and down.
I have been having this issue as well, I deleted my scheduled charge times and it still gets hung up on the 'starting charger' fault. Went back an put in a scheduled charge time to match my utility time of use hours and have just been monitoring the truck when I plug it in to make sure it actually starts charging. Even when it shows a percentage and estimated completion time I have noticed it sometimes faults and goes back to the 'starting charge' error so there is some weirdness in the gateway update for sure. Once the charge has started and been steady for ~10min I have not noticed it fault but if it completes a charge to 80% overnight and I choose to start the charge manually to 100% in the morning it has resulted in a 'starting charger' fault... very frustrating. I have reported it to @Ford Motor Company thru the in cab feedback option, as well as the in app feedback reporting... I thought about going to the dealer but they keep asking me if I'm there for an oil change when I bring it in for service so I have little desire to add extra frustration to the equation unless all other options are exhausted!

I'm sorry Your charging times are sometimes messed up now.

I'll note that this update, for my 2023 XLT ER, has stabilized the previously shaky APIM (Sync) interface with my use of Android Auto connection to my smartphone apps. At the same time, the stability of my FCPS TOU night charging times has not been affected at all.

I guess it goes to show how complex the interaction of the many electronic subsystems has gotten on these trucks.
