Mine do that also. I always lift them up .. and lower the hood especially for the ipma that takes so long

I don’t know if you leave them off before starting will help. I leave them in the first position
I had mine off and it doesn't make any difference. FYI, I decided to do the CANBUS update on the GWM... moving along nicely. ;)

I don't have the joy of enabling Blue Cruise, but I was able to get the IOD BedCam to work now. I had to enable it via ForScan. I also updated the TRM module and the persistent DTC is not gone. ALL GREEN modules now! A side note I believe the trailer reverse guidance stickers are now enabled. I pushed the button and this showed up. Before It would say no sensor was detected.

So by chance I had my auto wipers completely off and the wipers aren't going this time during updates. For those of you doing updates remember to turn your wipers off before starting.

3 down, IPMA just started!

This looks like the mega update we've all been waiting for. Blue Cruise, Camera's at speed, Trailer stickers. It's a shame Ford's messaging was so poor, but at least we are getting the updates now.

The inconsistencies are so weird... I updated my GWM via USB and waited 32 minutes and it worked the first try.
There's no doubt about the inconsistencies but, I had a problem with the GWM and the last update several weeks ago....

So I'm a little behind on this, looking to catch up. I have a job 1 truck awaiting BlueCruise as well, but don't own an FDRS device. Do I need to buy one and a license to get this BC update going? Are they still planning on doing this OTA at a later date? Or maybe give the option of taking into a dealer for them to do it?
It may well be true that a 2021 F150 will e v e n t u a l l y receive all the necessary OTA updates necessary to enable all the features that the truck is capable of supporting.

But, how's that been working out for us?

This thread is the alternative

I finally got my IPMA to update yesterday. Using the Mongoose, it takes about 2.5 hours. Like most here, it still shows as an available update along with the PSCM and the GSM. No GWM updates for me though.

Does anyone know what the driver and passenger door module updates do? I have those available, but haven't applied them.

So far what I seen, the Mongoose adapter is producing same type of corruptions as VCX Nano. I don't want to jump into conclusions yet, I will wait for JEB's test results to confirm for sure
Yes, with the Nano. Corruption remained. I thought the rescan fixed things when I saw that the FDRS summary screen came out clean, but @iceman77 dug deeper into the code and found other corruptions. @Bob_Mac rescanned with a Mongoose and also had corruptions. @Jesse-Infotainment always used a VCM3, which doesn’t use J2534, and never had corruptions. I don’t know of anyone who got corruptions with a Nano and subsequently fixed them with a rescan using a VCM2 or 3. But I think it would work because it would read the local data, which is uncompromised, and then reload it to the server.
I thought all the 'cheap' adapters only emulate J2534-2 by fragmenting packets or frames a certain way. It may be part of the problem. The ForScan developer wrote a lengthy post explaining this sometime ago. Unless someone buys a high quality full-chipped VCM 2 clone like an SP177-C (which are no longer made) or has an actual VCM 2 or VCM 3 at their disposal the experience is likely going to be more cumbersome when using low-end devices.

Livnitup mentioned he used his VCM 2 clone for FRDS updates and has not had any issues. I don't know what revision he's using. It's harder to find a good one because there's clones of clones all over the market... and lots of trash too.

Actually they did all update the first time you applied them. They just don't get de-populated for some reason that we have no control over.
