Did Ford and Electrify America have a falling out? When I bought my truck, it almost always routed me to Electrify America charges on trips. This was likely due to their Oval partnership, but in truth, they really were the best chargers for trips. Now going on the exact same routes, it's like my truck pretends Electrify America chargers don't exist and will route me to worse and slower chargers when there is an Electrify America supercharger that is clearly the better option. Has anyone else noticed this?

Routing from Ford's navigation is more likely a software issue. A Tesla charger that I had used only a few weeks ago (with adaptor) right now doesn't even show up in either Fords navigation or Charge Assist! It was there when I made the trip and it does show up in Ford Pass. Ford has a long way to go with software. Use ABRP

I use ABPR, the free version. Have you tried the subscription one? And if so, how is the interface and how accurate is it? I have thought about trying it, but haven't talked to anyone that's used the pay version.

Download all of the apps and compare. I wish one of them would allow filtering or sorting by $/kWh. I know the Fed data for that is "free formatted" so my best guess is that' may be a contributing factor.

you can also limit searches for certain 'speeds' of stations, such as tapping the 'Ultra Fast Only' speed tab, which EA typically qualifies for... at least on the FordPassApp.

I haven't tried it. I really don't travel long enough distances but I plan carefully before leaving home

Free version works fine.

ABRP is a good planning tool but a mediocre navigation app. I have started plotting the next charger into Google maps and just using that. The major feature I DO like with ABRP (at least on the Nav side) is the current charge percent. It tracks what Soc it thinks you should be at and you can compare that against actual to see if you are going to get there under the expected arrival percentage.

Ford nav is trash. I MIGHT have some faith but since it randomly locks up I can never count on it (I'm on old software however)

Yea, don't depend on the Ford routing. On longer trips I'll run ABRP on one device and then either Apple/Google maps via CarPlay on the other. Apple has started to become a pain with EV routing as well, so as others have mentioned I navigate directly to the ABRP stop on the vehicle/CarPlay nav, and use the suggested charge time on ABRP before navigating to the next leg shown on ABRP.

The bigger issue is that my Ford won't prioritize Tesla chargers for me. I prioritize them because they're considerably less expensive, more conveniently placed, and to date 100% reliable. In fact, I don't think it will ever route me to a Tesla charger. Maybe because I haven't received my Ford adapter and I've been using my A2Z one. At least ABRP allows me to prioritize Tesla for my stops.
