Dang google sheets are hard to paste in with a link (seemed to work just a paste ago), just goes to "Media" which does not link, so used "Code" function, which means link has to copied and pasted into a new tab to see it. @TaxmanHog

Fixed the link.
BTW, the link to the sheet URL needs to inserted into the conversation text box over text ie the sheet title or simply LINK TO SHEET

I just had my truck in for the 10k service on March 21 and was told by the dealer that Ford has not released a procedure for 23H01. Also, Ford does not make the appt for you, they put you on a 3 way call with a dealer, and walk you through making an appt. What pisses me off the most, is all the dealers around me are roughly a 6 week wait list for any appt. So what Ford needs to do, is contact all the dealers around and send me a list of available appts in the area so I can choose.

That sounds bad and is not the experience I had. I didn't speak with the dealer until the day I dropped it off and they handed me the keys to a loaner. The appointment was made about a month out so the parts could be shipped and to get everything lined up with an engineer to be there.

I kind of gave up with it, because the Ford rep I was dealing with, didn't listen to me or understand what I was saying when I reiterated that appointment was not made on our conference call, because he could not verify to the dealer that the part would be available for the appointment date. Then he sends me an email on Thursday, stating had me scheduled for the next day Friday. Called the dealership he set the appointment with and they had no information on it.

That's horrible. I can understand getting different experiences at different dealers, but you would think Ford corporate would be treating everyone the same on their end. My appointment was made with the understanding that if the parts were not received by the dealer in time that the appointment would be pushed until he received them.

She also threw in a 5 year, 75,000 mile extended warranty
For those with an extended warranty, maybe ask for BlueOval free charging or some FordPass points. Hmm, that extended warranty Grainger Ford shows as $750 for Premium and $100 deductible, so how many kWhr or points is that? 375kWh @ $0.50/kWh, or 150,000 points per the calculator at 200 points per $1.

Got my recall notification today. No appointments available until April 19th. Takes that long to get the part and schedule an engineer to help with the repair.

(Following up on my original post) I had Ford make the appointment for me and they also shipped the parts to the dealer. My appt was on 4/13 and they finished the battery module replacement in one day. I picked it up yesterday 4/14 and have had no issues with it. Overall a very well executed recall "customer satisfaction program". The dealer said this is the first Lightning they serviced under this program, though they had replaced battery modules before for other reasons.

Here is what they wrote on the service log:

Dropped my truck off Monday for the module replacement. They removed the battery tray this morning. Module no. 4 is the bad one so had to remove all the 2nd tier modules. I really like the techs at my dealer. My SA is very responsive and called me this morning to let me know I could come up and see it taken apart. The tech seems very detailed and was using zip locks to keep things organized. Hopefully he removes all the damn dirt collecting on the top of my skid plate. The new module is balancing and he will put down the thermal paste and install it probably this afternoon. Absent any issues should have my truck back tomorrow or Thursday.

Tech did tell me that the part numbers on the modules are the same (except the the 9th smaller module obviously). I guess it all comes down to whether this is a module design issue or a manufacturing issue. There have been two forum members with post 1-6-23 2023 models that have thrown the fault. Not looking like Ford has corrected the issue yet. There have also been a couple forum members that have been through this twice.

I'm in for the long haul as I hate the gas F150 loaner they gave me. Once you go EV it's hard to go back.

Are the 2nd tier modules towards the back or front? Could more modules fit on the 2nd tier if they wanted to match the 6 modules of the lower tier (for more range)?
Did you receive a notice from Ford?

The 2nd tier modules are on top of the first tier. So modules one through six on the bottom and seven through nine on the top. Module nine is smaller. I guess there is room for additional modules in the design but not sure. Not exactly sure where the BMS is located or how big it is or if each module has it's own BMS built in.

Within each module on a circuit board to one side of the pouch cells.

Hey guys I got my truck back today. Module no. 4 was replaced. Two thumbs up to Rob Sight Ford in Kansas City for getting it done quickly and doing a great job and putting me in a nice loaner.

Truck was fast before but is now a beast. It will chirp the tires flooring it at 30mph. Truly overkill but impressive. I attach a screenshot from Car Scanner. Dealer was going to charge it to 100% as a courtesy (they say Ford doesn't require this) but I took it home at 65% SOC. Should I charge it up to 100% to see if the charge variation between the modules gets closer to 0% or just charge to my normal 70% and wait for my next long trip to charge to 100%? Truck was at 43% SOC when the module was replaced. My 98.5% state of health in Car Scanner hasn't changed.
