I wish we could do it like the GM trucks have it. It will switch between the front and rear camera depending if you in drive or reverse and then will turn off once you reach a certain speed. I really miss that from my sierra

That worked. The important part for me is that I could turn the lights off and they would be off at next startup. It appears that it is not capturing the state when you turn the truck off, but what state you left it in. The one I did not really test is if I left it in parking lights and closed and locked the truck, I assume at some point the lights would time out and turn off (like essentially all newer vehicles). Would it come back into parking lights on next startup? I did not want to wait long enough for it to time out.
The chime is probably the one that is due to starting the truck without the seatbelt buckled. I personally found it annoying (I buckle up after first starting).

Thanks. I saw the post about disabling the chime but I was curious if it could be changed. I know in the ICE trucks the software keeps the splash screens for all the different trims available and you can change them from the 75th anniversary over to the Raptor one, etc. Just wondering if this noise could be changed similarly.
Some folks have complained that their "startup chimes" changed - instead of a nice tone from the front speakers, it starts coming from the instrument cluster speaker with poorer quality. Or maybe it's a difference between a Platinum and a Flash.
Yes, it’s definitely not the IPC/APIM speaker difference because I’ve had that issue before in the past. It was a distinctly different tone between the XLT and Flash I’ve driven vs the platinum. I wonder if Lariat could be the same as plat? Maybe that's the difference you are hearing. I'm not sure folks resolved the front speaker vs IPC issue other than maybe it was due to a low 12V battery. I can't point to a specific thread but I know it's been discussed.
Just to confirm it's the seat belt chime we're talking about and not some other "startup sound" associated with a splash screen, start your truck with and without your seat belt buckled to verify we're discussing the same sound.
In my view, an unwanted sound at startup (whether melodic or not) is still unwanted. And folks need to stay off my lawn.
I think this is the case. So I had help from @21st Century Truck in activating this mod, and the sound was instantly better. While I don’t have the color wheel, if I turn the volume up to about 11 and press the Beosonic button, I can definitely tell that there are preset changes to the equalizers - some highlight background vocals, some focus on the music, and some change the speaker focus. Not that I have the best ears, but as far as I can tell, there are 4-5 different presets pressing that button. The one thing I did notice is that each time I start the vehicle, I have to go press the Beosonic button to “activate” it. It’s very hard to tell on XM music because of the compression, but on downloaded “hifi” Spotify songs, the quality difference to me is noticeable.
I believe the hardware changed on the ICE trucks and they can not activate glare free any longer (I hope I've not mixed up that info) so if you are in one of the shared Forscan spreadsheets you may see reference there that '24's can't be updated either.
