Has anybody done the Glare free on an XLT and can confirm they see a difference. I did the needed changes on mine and I see the setting on the screen change to glare free as well as the green auto headlights icon in the dash. But no performance in the headlights. They no longer do the swivel around corners, or auto high beam, or the glare free split around cars. I am going above 35mph as well as it’s dark enough and no city lights. All normal roads and locations auto high beam would work.

Global Windows Question: I coded it in AS BUILT and didn't have success. In fact, my auto down with fob stopped working. I restored the values and remote down still not working. I tried in the APIM TEXT aka Sync 4 module (non-AS BUILT) APIM and ENABLED global windows up and down, still no action.

Everything else I did (5 blink one-touch, Lincoln folding mirrors, etc) was no issue and worked as intended. I have a lot of experience with VAG.com (Audi/VW/Porsche) and FORScan is similar enough but can't figure out the mirrors (Lariat ER). Here are the settings I thought were recommended. Any info is appreciated...

Global window open/close using keyfob: successful in Lariat ER with 5/5/22 build date, but it only works on the front windows because one-touch is not enabled in the back windows.

Got this somewhat figured out. I used the text line entries for Global Open and Close (not the As Built option).

Had to ENABLE in BCM, PDM, DDM and APIM and once all 4 modules were mark ENABLE and saved, it worked and the menu items were added under Settings>Vehicle>Windows.

All good. Have all my mods working with the exception of matrix headlights which is a project for another day.

Side note: I'm using a Veepeak USB OBD2 wired reader and found if I leave the switch in MS vs HS (High Speed) I get no MS/HS pop up messages from FORScan and performance even for the HS modules is still plenty fast.

I bought the extended 1 year license and can confirm the new software fixes the issues writing to the HCM. I made the changes to add glare free lighting, remove the double honk when leaving the truck with it running, and one other add on option that I will create a write up for hopefully this weekend. ;)
hi bloc,

I am having the same issue writing to the HCM module. I already have had a paid license and am using the 2.3.49 release. Did you get v2.3.50 beta to get this to work?

If so, where do you download that release?

thanks!

Shoot Forscan support an email and they will send it to you.

I think your switch is on HS, not MS. I used to have the same adapter and on my 2010 F150 I had to flip the switch when prompted. That switch doesn't change the speed of the adapter but physically changes the OBD pins that are sent to the ELM327 chip for processing. The older cars have a MS-CAN (medium speed) on pins 3 and 11 and the high speed bus (HS-CAN) is on pins 6 and 14. If I remember the adapter, the labelling on the switch is opposite of what you think. I bet if you try flipping it the other way, it won't work. Could be the Lightning only has HS and not MS. See this article for how the switch works: https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4

You are correct. I just went and looked. I flipped the switch at night and thought I was going HS to MS.

Once I did make the change, I haven't had to toggle back (I thought there were both older MS and newer HS modules but must apply to older F-150s).

Anyone able to connect Forscan to a MY2023? Mine says "Unable to identify the vehicle" and asks for the PCM part number. This is with Forscan v2.3.49.

Please post if you've found any other settings that work with the Lightning.
What module is the 724 chip in, for the turn signal blinks selection?
And thanks for the great info. Turned off annoying honks and turned up my Lightning bars so far already.

I just got this working through WINE on linux, and was able to get that one set. 724 is the SCCM.

One thing to note: I tried the :

Enable 75th Anniversary Splash ScreenAPIM7D0-03-01xxxx24xxxx--Requires Sync ver 22012 or higher - reset APIM in FORScan after either/both changes
Enable Unreal Sync Theme APIM7D0-02-03xxxxxxx1xx--

And it didn't do anything. The Unreal Sync Theme was already enabled, but the 75th anniversary splash screen didnt seem to do anything. Lariat ER.

You can change how many times your blinker clicks from 3 to 5 or 6.

724-01-01 XXXX-8CXX XX for 3 clicks
724-01-01 XXXX-94XX XX for 5 clicks
724-01-01 XXXX-98XX XX for 6 clicks

SCCM worked like a charm - thanks!
