One thing to note: I tried the :

Enable 75th Anniversary Splash ScreenAPIM7D0-03-01xxxx24xxxx--Requires Sync ver 22012 or higher - reset APIM in FORScan after either/both changes
Enable Unreal Sync ThemeAPIM7D0-02-03xxxxxxx1xx--

And it didn't do anything. The Unreal Sync Theme was already enabled, but the 75th anniversary splash screen didnt seem to do anything. Lariat ER.
Also, I did all of the settings for glare-free headlights, but they don't show up in my Settings/Vehicle/Lighting section. Are they hidden somewhere else? I triple checked that I got all the settings right.

EDIT: I spoke too soon! Perhaps I wasn't rebooting the truck well enough, but I went back out to check a few more settings, and the glare-free headlights were an option! So yay!

Anyone able to connect Forscan to a MY2023? Mine says "Unable to identify the vehicle" and asks for the PCM part number. This is with Forscan v2.3.49.
Forscan responded saying I needed to wait for a new release.

What is the minimum suggested SOC for the LVB when kicking off a OTA or manual install of an update on the Ford vehicle, Lightnings in particular?

Shoot Forscan support an email and they will send it to you.
Update, they sent me the v2.3.50 test version and it wrote to HCM first try.

happy to have matrix headlights back as I had enabled them about a yr. Ago on the ‘21 F150 I had before my lightning. That was one of the few things I missed.

Curious, what trim do you have? I can’t get mine to work on my XLT.

I’ve got a lariat with 511a package. I didn’t look into the Lightning XLTs much, but there is a good chance it doesn’t have the same headlights with matrix projector capabilities. For example my other F150 was a Tremor with 402a package, the top package had these lights but a 401a mid-range equipped like an XLT didn’t.

You can likely confirm for sure if you pull up a Ford Canada build and price site and compare features.

I was curious so pulled up the ford CA website. It lists both the XLT and Lariats the same way “
  • Headlamps - LED Proiector with Dynamic
    Bending”

  • are you seeing the feature in the menu, but it just isn’t working

  • Did you force reset the APIM after the changes?

Yea I did the same and both trims should have it.

I updated via Forscan, I can see the glare free setting on the screen and the automatic headlight symbol on the dash is green, and I reset the apim multiple times. When I drive there are no auto high beam or glare free, they just stay on the low beam.

I just did my Glare Free today and tested after dark. I does require you to be going over 30 mph to have the Glare Free really be active enough to notice.

I did see that you can still force high beams with a pull back of the stalk (actually useful for me when at our cottage and in deep woods with another car every 20 mins at best).

The green headlight with the A will be the only icon in Glare Free that will be present. Try pulling the stalk to force high beams and then a double push to resume Glare Free. That may help confirm. Otherwise, I'd just do a quick review of the settings in the various modules to check.

I had to review ALL my entries twice on Global Windows until I saw it could be done in multiple text/non As Built modules.

You are correct. I just went and looked. I flipped the switch at night and thought I was going HS to MS.

Once I did make the change, I haven't had to toggle back (I thought there were both older MS and newer HS modules but must apply to older F-150s).
BTW, I decided to not be such a cheap b*stard and return the Veepeak. Got an OBDLink EX as recommended by FORscan and others. Running a 20% discount on Amazon, so only $47. Maybe I am still cheap...?

DRL/Lightbar Brightness Adjustment (From @jredondox)

BCM 726-42-01 x2x2 xxxx xxxx
BCM (this setting adjusts brightness) 726-38-01 xxxx 64xx xxxx
64 =100%
5A = 90%
4B =75%
32 = 50%
19 = 25%
0A =10%

Please post if you've found any other settings that work with the Lightning.

Question:

Does the Lightbar brightness adjustment affect both the front and rear bars simultaneously on a F-150 Lightning Lariat?

Also, since the codes above are hex, will 00=0% , disable the light bar(s) completely?
I noticed the settings above stop at 10%

Thanks for checking.

Can anyone tell me what the "Unreal Sync Theme" is? I have searched to no avail. I see on the 12in screens it changes the appearance of sync but what does it do to 15.5 screen?

I tried it, and the 50th anniversary, and it did nothing for me.

NEXT FORSCAN CLASS ASSIGNMENT: See if any of us can find an Active Air Dam DISABLE. I have no damage, ice stuck, etc but randomly get the message about an issue with the Active Air Dam. Has never been stuck in down position. I assume it is just not always lowering. Very common issue and even the dealer said not worth replacing parts as you'll just get the message again but with new parts.

This is supposed to result in a 4% MPG advantage for ICE trucks at highway speeds (doesn't lower until 45 mph) but I'd sacrifice this by disabling or removing the air dam vs the impending collision with a rubber dog or other road debris.

Not a big job to remove (12 small bolts) and all reports are no codes or messages once removed. Just seal up the 2 plugs. Still, easier if the 2 actuators that lower/raise it could be disabled via code.
When it warms up, I'll look further (I've already looked through various modules that made sense but nothing found to disable). Any ideas welcome and I can share (even share with the ICE community as the active air dam is pretty much on all 2021+ F-150s.
