I was recently involved in an accident when a Hyundai accent reversed into my passenger side wheel and door area. Naturally insurance was involved and recommended a Ford certified collision center. I called them to schedule an estimate for repairs per instruction to be told they will not accept my vehicle. I proceeded to go down the insurance company's approved list all with the same response, "we will not accept the vehicle." I contacted two local Ford dealerships, the first recommended the previously mentioned shop as they did not have a collision center. I tried a second Ford dealership with another recommendation, this shop told me to come in tomorrow for the estimate. Hopefully they don't change their mind.
The damage looks to be limited to my fender, wheel, and door. The vehicle does seem to pull to the left slightly now when driving. Everything else is working per mfg specifications.
I am curious to know if anyone else is having the same issue for auto body work. The shops around Virginia Beach area are scared to do any work on EVs no matter how light the work is... Please let me know your thoughts.
