Not sure if the extreme cold is the issue or if there is something else going on, maybe even related to my recent accident and subsequent repairs, but I went for a 30-minute drive, then parked for an hour. The weather was - 9°F and a wind chill of about - 20°. When I came back out to the truck, I discovered that the remote start had not worked and then trying to start the vehicle, I was unable to shift out of park and had the Stop Safely Now error, the Service Vehicle Soon message, the Pre-Collision Assist not available error, the Service AdvanceTrac message, and Pedestrian Sounder Fault Service Now error.

I disconnected the 12v battery and waited a moment before reconnecting and most of the errors cleared. But after starting up again, it then still showed the Service Vehicle message and the wrench icon on the instrument panel. I was at least able to drive it home without issues. This morning, I was still not able to remote start the truck, but I was able to get it to start from inside the truck without any issues or errors.

Any thoughts on whether this was just the extreme cold or if there may be something else going on??? I'm glad my son and I were not stranded in the cold, but I would sure like to know what was happening here and if there is reason for continued concern...

Cold 12v battery with bad connections. Check as much as you can from the battery posts onward and tighten as necessary.

Got it! Thanks! Guess I will want to plug in a bit more often when it is so cold and also check to ensure that the battery connections are secure.

It's semi cold in MI as well, 2F last night and around 7F during the day.

My alarm went off twice this afternoon, first time I had been stopped for about 5min, got out turned around and reached back into the car (door still open and unlocked) and the alarm went off. Tried to lock unlock via fob thinking I might have squeezed the panic button in my pocket but nothing helped, I'm the end I had to start the truck to "clear it". This was just after a 35min drive so I don't think the LVB was depleted.

2nd time was two hours later stopping for lunch. I park and go inside the restaurant and by the time I sit down I get a notification from FordPass that my alarm have been triggered.

Yup, our Mach-E is always charging because it actually fits in the garage. Unfortunately, the Lightning is stuck on the street and only gets to plug in in the alley behind our house once or twice a week.

Do you have a volt meter? If the voltage drops below 12 you won’t be able to start the truck. I had a 2018 Leaf go crazy in a parking garage in Breckinridge, CO and had to tow it to a dealer in Denver where all they did was replace the 12V battery.
