With the new Tariffs coming into effect in the US, I imagine that both Mexico and Canada will be getting Chinese EV cars and Trucks. Will the cost of the US base EV's and ICE cars be affordable for the average perosn or will they need to come to Canada and buy one of our Chinese EV's that they will get?

Some of the big changes coming with the Trump admin, making America great. Things are going to be rather interesting in the future. How does everyone feel about this, is this a good thing and are you excited for it??

Like Trump has said many times before, things are going to get worse before they get better. Except it probably wont get better. Tesla already raised prices on their models knowing full well there will be no foreign competition.

If the tariffs on steel and aluminum hold, I would expect an $80,000 vehicle would be relatively cheap in the future!
I have mixed feelings about Trump, but I do not think he understands how tariffs or economics work!

I only saw Model X price went up (I keep pricing them hoping the cost drops)...almost immediately after tariffs were announced...the other models also went up?

Reality is….if tariffs continue, NO vehicles will be built here. This is a STUPID ploy that will not bode well for the US. Regardless of your political persuasion, this makes no sense. We are already so far behind the Chinese manufacturers. .

I think there is a good chance that manufacturing companies will react relatively quickly and get US manufacturing facilities up and running. I was surprised how fast manufacturers reacted/adapted when the Biden administration forced their hands with the EV rebates. They started building factories here to capitalize on the government money. I suspect this will have a similar effect.
