Beyond my scope of knowledge, but what is to prevent someone from now making and marketing an CCS to CCS extension that you could plug this adapter into then plug the extension into the truck. Only needs to be about 3'. If it is a pass through could it be detected so that charging wouldn't be allowed?

I think it's the active cooling that would be an issue for an extension cable for DC chargers

Agreed more critical for the Ford as the hold sustained High power longer than the typical Tesla.

Yes, they do a resistance check, if it's not within limits it won't charge.
