What locations? Any other non-teslas charging there? It's possible they may not be activated for Ford, Rivian, etc.
A couple of locations in Scottsdale AZ (actually North PHX.). the two closest to the Mayo Clinic. They were listed on the tesla and ford app as legitimate stations.

It is true that I did not notice anyone other than tesla's charging there, Otherwise I would have wrestled the ford or rivian guys down to get answers :).

May be able to check PlugShare and see if someone has used them recently. Being near Phoenix I would think it's probably heavily used. Granted there could just be a glitch in the matrix. Had one on the outer banks here in NC that wouldn't work back in June even though it showed as compatible in the Tesla app and Ford Pass and Mach-E/Lightnings had successfully used it a month before per PlugShare. And of course there were other reports the next day of it not working with non-teslas. doh. Was several months later that it actually started working again.

Anyone actually gotten the new one yet? Or has your expected ship date changed due to this?

The fact that Lectron had a major QC escape, which I would say falls under the "unacceptable" category of risk management, makes me really wish Ford had worked with A2Z on this.

AFAIK, A2Z saw improvements to be made and updated their adapter without having a QC issue like Lectron did. I don't think they ever had a recall.

To be fair, the A2Z is still safe. It's only being recalled so they can get Tesla's blessing for the Pro version. The Lectron one was proven to be unsafe. Yes, I'm becoming a bit of a fanboy for A2Z. Hard not to when a company takes proactive measures for the benefit of the customer and has top notch communication and service. It's refreshing.

Lmao you think having a voluntary recall to please the Tesla gods is a major QC escape? I dont even think the earliest of A2Z prototypes had any issues like Lectron did.

I think it is a naĆÆve statement to think there is not some inherent safety concerns to warrant Tesla to take such action and for them to yield so quickly. Enjoy drinking the koolaid. Remember as long as you believe it is great, it it will be greatā€¦..at least in your mind.

Ford needs to get off their dead @$$ and remember that EVERYONE who bought a Lightning should be treated similarly regarding these adapters. I spent $500 on the mobile charger because Ford has a ā€œpackageā€ truck they build for their distribution centers for quick ship. They include a twist-lock 220V adapter to the 14-50 plug. Why not toss the Tesla adapter in that kit for a few dollars more? Now I get hind tit from the hog because I didnā€™t buy a 2023 or earlier, and canā€™t even order off their site! Take 15-20.% of the plugs coming in and help your other faithful customers! Instead, they raise the price and take things away. The program shouldā€™ve supplied free adapters to early adopters if wanted and any other Lightning owners thru 2024 models, then add the adapters as an option moving thru 2025 until they switch to the NACS standard.
