I received a thumbs down from an oncoming vehicle. Hand out his window, thumbs down staring at me. It was a Rivian truck. I was flabbergasted and had no response for that.

You just didn't see the cup of Kool-Aid in his other hand!

I had someone at Homedepot shouting out their window I think at me about "being gay" or something, he was so animated that I too amused to actually process what he was saying. I was glad he was so engaged and I just hope he doesn't tell my wife!

and then there's troublemakers like me that consider leaning into silliness like this EXTRA ...
so you can get the silly pretend exhaust that makes vroom vroom noises, how about instead it does circus music ? possibly a fog machine churning out rainbow colored fog ? or even better a soap bubbles !

Back to the original thread: So far, no strangers have given any sign of noticing my Lightning. Hopefully soon I'll see my cousin who's a dedicated octane addict (used to race 'em) and who has been saying for three years that our Mach E was going to fall apart like the One Hoss Shay any day. You’re lucky all you got was a thumbs down. Us early adopters bought EVs because we thought it was the right thing to do but emissions regulations are going to force more and more people who don’t like change and don’t care about what’s right into EVs. There are plenty of reports of diesel coal rolling EVs, nails in EV tires, busted EV side mirrors, etc by people that believe if they intimidate people that own and drive EVs enough, EVs will disappear.
