Hello,
After hours of searching, reading, asking for help, nobody has been able to identify the headlight, taillight, running lights, DRL wiring color codes, harness diagrams or much information.

I have two hood mounted Pod Lights with a small accent light for marker / DRLs and amber for turn signals.
I have been unable to splice into the wires to make them functional.

Plugging into the trailer wiring automatically registers any tail gate lights, additional reverse lights or topper third brake light as a trailer and changes the driving mode and estimated range.

I have read that splicing into the lighting wiring harness voids the warranty.
I think that was confused with the main power system and wiring harnesses.

Can someone help?

Which wires, colors are needed to tap into the turn signals, front lightbar, running tail lights, etc?
Thanks

If you haven't seen this thread you may want to check it out. Maybe it will help? It's probably not the install you're looking for but it seems like a nice clean approach to adding aux lights.

Hi Watts,
I seen that and seems a bit overly complicated just to add switches regardless.
I am surprised nobody has a color chart or diagram of the wiring harnesses.
Maybe, I am stuck in 2011 Crown Vic mindset but, it cannot be this hard haha.

I hear you. That post was the only thing I could come up w/r/t adding lights.

Thank you Watts. I will find something or figure it out if, I am disassembling my truck.

If you get a 3 day subscription to PTS you can download wiring diagrams for our trucks specifically. Maybe that might help. I think though especially for the front lights they are all operated thru modules like the HCM it might not be as easy to just ā€œtapā€ into a wire. But I donā€™t know for sure.

I was planning on tapping into the trailer harness for backup lights with additional running lights in them. I added it to my 2021 Bronco and it works just fine. Iā€™ll test it on the new Lighting and see what happens. Maybe I just use the backup lights and the truck thinks a trailer is connected each time I put it in reverse.

These new trucks are overly complex with respect to the body control module and how it measures the load on each circuit. The F-250ā€˜s with the plow prep should still have a harness under the passenger side fender to trigger lights, but the F-150ā€™s do not to my knowledge. Back in 2020 when I had my Raptor there were some guys having problems with adding light trigger wires to the factory wiring and the BCM shutting down the circuit permanently. The only way to fix it was to replace the BCM, not something I want to risk on my Lightning.

I was able to get this schematic from a friend with ā€œconnectionsā€ā€¦
I was not able to dig into it to attest its functionality and donā€™t know the meanings of the abbreviations.
Iā€™ve purchased a front Ford lit logo and I want to splice it to the light bar circuit, but havenā€™t had a chance to work on it yet.
hope it helps. LMKā€¦
Happy New Year!
