How noisy is HVAC ?

I seem to remember to have read that the fan and/or compressor on the Lightning is very loud. I cannot find the source of that any more, so hopefully an owner can comment: Is that true? If so, is it the fan or the compressor?

I haven't noticed any excessive noise with mine. If you crank the fan all of the way up, of course it gets loud, but on Auto 1 where I keep it, I don't even really hear it at all.

I don't think the HVAC compressor or blowers are loud. The vented seats are typical, there are both quieter and louder vented seats out there. The pitches of all of the above mentioned are not offensive (to me).

The traction battery and HVAC cooling system compressors aren't loud IMHO, but during the warmer season (not happening right now in New England) the condenser fans under the frunk make a pretty strong racket when they ramp up. This would be noticed more often while DCFC or when running the air conditioner in the hot season

mine makes a whining noise like air being passed through a small hole with a little raspy tick added, super annoying. Most noticeable on Auto 1, but really you can hear it at all speeds if you listen for it over the actual wind noise. I feel like the NVH folks would have never let this slip though, maybe its just my truck.

I would get that checked out. I have nothing like that in mine.

Take a video and we can tell you if it's normal for the truck or not.

The HVAC system is no louder than any other car and is nearly silent when on low fan speeds. I guess you can hear various pumps and compressors from outside the truck when they are going, but not really from inside the truck -- maybe a little if you sit parked with the radio off.

I can't hear anything over the kids.

When they aren't in the truck, I mostly hear some noises as I come to a stop and when I first start moving again. HVAC is pretty quiet on auto 1, now the fan for the seat cooling...that thing is pretty noticable.

Dashboard AC vents are quiet/normal. The ventilated seats making a weird droning humming noise on high. Very annoying.
