How Was Your Canceling Experience and Why Did You Start It?

For all the people ticked off about;
Can't get the least profitable build out that you know you deserve;
Star White is not available in the trim you want;
Talked to 5 different business units and not all said the exact same thing so you think this company is incompetent and you think they will go under before they can deliver your truck;
Some other reason (please enlighten us);

Please post your experience at withdrawing your reservation (please post a picture confirming your reservation cancelation) and what caused you to decide to do this.

Bonus points for those that are 'lifelong Ford customers' that have a different vehicle company name as their user name on a Ford-centric forum!

I canceled my reservation and encourage all others with a timestamp earlier than mine to do the same.

p.s. I hate the Ford chime sound with a passion

Honestly I'm wishing I had waited a week or so because my finances would be better sorted by the time I took delivery and I might get bumped up the second year and have more options available.
Once they have the full spec, options, and pricing available I'll make my final decision. I may just buy the truck and resell it if something better comes along (seats 6 or 7 and tows over 5k lbs). *Cough explorer cough* I'm sure I'll be able to recover my entire purchase price of it's within the first year.

Oh wait I mean...f* Ford and their BS I'm cancelling. I'll make them regret not allowing me to order exactly what I want even though I currently don't know that I actually can't order that.

Do you realize that cancelling amounts to a single click on the Ford website? Start to finish happens at the speed of light.

Unlike the Bronco fiasco, not enough has gone wrong with the Lightning rollout to warrant a cancellation.

How long do you have to place your order once the order banks open? Is there anything keeping someone from waiting a year after the order banks open to actually place their order, i.e. does your reservation expire or something like that? I've not participated in the MME or Bronco ordering process so I don't know how these things work.

I canceled because I am angry about the specifics of trim level options and pricing that Ford hasn't announced yet. Something, something, 4680, mega cast, cybertruck FTW.

Plus I am 9 years old and can't legally drive.

I've not participated in the MME or Bronco ordering process so I don't know how these things work.
There shouldn't be anything restricting you from sitting on your reservation, however, dealer allocations for the Bronco and Mach-e were impacted by order conversion % so if you have an outstanding reservation and don't convert to an order within the open order window you potentially could impact the number of trucks-maybe even lot inventory allocation-that the dealer receives.

I'm irate and canceling as well. This is all unacceptable from ford and no one should tolerate it.

Please cancel as well, let's all send a message to Ford.

If you need help canceling, give me your ford login and I'll do it for you. Let's all help those who have trouble canceling.

I don't know if they count pending reservations as conversions or just cancellations/refund requests but there is a metric for % conversions. denny@KMFord let us behind the curtain a bit on the "What are your dealers saying about Lightning?" post on how it affects allocations.

That "what you should be asking your dealer" thread has a pretty good explanation of what that dealership understands about "conversion" rates AND ordering windows.
