Calm down. Nothing is going to happen. These chargers are made to spec.
oh I am quite calm. I have just decided that violating terms of service using non-Tesla made adapter is not worth the financial risk if my truck or the station.

I will wait until the UL standards are official and the adapters are officially UL certified when hopefully Tesla will OK their official use before I would use.

I have seen all the videos of the testing and yes the vendor is super reputable. But the risk is real right now legally in these early days.

Been living on CCS for 3 years and can make do a couple more months until the Ford/Tesla approved adapters arrive.

But hey, that is just me not wanting to risk damage to my expensive and glorious truck. 😎

I registered early but have not hear a peep from Ford Is there a way to see where I’m at or even still on the list?

Mine arrived yesterday, ordered March 6th. I’m not sure if they are filling orders more quickly now or if there’s still a 2-3 week wait.

Received last week but was unable to charge the first time. The trick is to lock the bottom switch which is not easy. The easiest way to do it is attach the adapter, push the whole thing towards the ground and you will feel that it goes in by a quarter of an inch and then you can push the lock. Attach it to your Ford and voila. It takes sometime to start charging but the relief is priceless!
Make sure switch is unlocked. Push adapter on. Slide switch to lock. No force needed. Reverse at end.

So when your free Ford adapter arrives, which will NOT be UL listed, you won't use it, right?

Seems like some adapters including mine are not sliding in as you say. Force is needed indeed even if the lock is in an unlocked state.

If you have a Tesla membership account, at $12.99/mo, you pay the same per kWh price as Tesla drivers. This price varies by time of day at many (all?) locations. Unless you charge at peak hours, it seems to be between a little cheaper and a lot cheaper than other networks around here.

For example, looking at the Yonkers (Central Park Avenue) Supercharger right now, it is $0.48/kWh. The nearest EA station is list priced at $0.56/kWh but the "Pass+" plan subtracts 25% so that's $0.42.

However, at 8PM Tesla's price drops to $0.40 and at midnight it drops to $0.30 until 4AM. It's $0.35 all morning from 4AM until noon.

There are also nearby EVgo stations. They are priced about the same as Tesla if you have EVgo's "Plus" plan ($7/mo), or a little cheaper if you have their "PlusMax" plan ($13/mo). However, they all seem to be either 100kW units or fake "200kW" units that are limited to 200A (they claim to support "1000V" charging) and which will really only dispense 100W to our trucks.

Bottom line is Tesla's one of the better deals in DC charging, at least around here. It's still at least 2X the price of charging at home, but, that kind of goes without saying for DC charging, no?

anyone waiting on a A2Z adapter run into this with shipping. This is straight from the UPS tracking screen

All merchandise is missing and the empty carton was discarded. UPS will notify the sender.

I emailed @A2ZEV over the weekend so I am sure they will get back to me today sometime. This is a first for me for any UPS package. I'm going to guess a Rivian driver works at the UPS facility in Raleigh, haha:ROFLMAO:
