It’s been a couple of weeks, since OTA ECG-24.2.5.6.1. The personal hotspot has not been able to connect. On my iPhone I see the green link icon but on Sync it always displays Unable to connect. Has anyone else had this issue?

Sorry for the dumb question, but why do you need a hotspot in your truck which has a modem?

I know some people have purchased an android box that allows them to watch other things like Netflix or YouTube TV. I usually just watch it on my iphone if I need to, but the big screen would be nice. Also, I have not tried to hook up my hotspot to the truck. Sorry.

Try disconnecting the projection SSID used for Carplay / Android Auto.
Activate phones data sharing function
Connect the trucks wifi receiver to your phones broadcasting SSID.
That should get the Sync YouTube entertainment app. working.

Thanks! I’ll give that a shot!

Are you using wireless CarPlay? If so, stop and use wired as wireless CarPlay uses your phone's wifi radio and can cause issues with hotspot connectivity.

Sometimes the hotspot name is the issue, and I've never figured out why. Change the name of your phone so that the hotspot name shows up with the new name and suddenly it can connect. I've had the issue connecting computers to the default named hotspot as well.
