Pulling the trigger on a used Lightning, should I be concerned if it has had its HV Battery replaced at 25k miles?
Not new to electric cars, but this will be Ford I've owned in 20 years. Looking at a 2024 Flash, its for sale at a Chevy Dealership so they haven't been super helpful on the details. And to be fair, I rarely trust that any dealer knows anything specific about a used car on their lot!
Looking at the carfax, you could infer the previous owner got rid of the vehicle at the same time the battery was replaced (or repaired who knows).
If I 'test drove it' over to a Ford dealer, would they even tell me anything?
Does a replaced HV battery come with a new warranty or is it just covered under the original warranty?
You think it is worth buying, or should I just find another used Lighting? This one has been sitting for over a month on the lot, so its getting to that point the dealer will make a deal to move it.
Thanks for the help!
