They closed the plant down so there's probably no one to update the order database. Did they give you an estimated delivery date?

UPDATE 12/14!! Well, tomorrow will begin month #2 without a truck. Playing phone tag with servicing dealer but to my knowledge the original truck is not fixed yet and we are not pursuing.

As for the replacement truck, according to Ford there were none on the east coast even though I could see a couple on the build website and on dealer websites (I didn't call to verify) but apparently they found a truck at some unknown RDC that is in process of being routed to the selling dealer RDC and then to the dealership. Just got a VIN yesterday and I requested a copy of the sticker as it was not available on any of the Ford sticker lookups. Was told it is a freshly built truck but we all know the plant has been closed for a month. When I put the order # and VIN in from the sticker, I got the below. So my concern is why is the last update on this vehicle 10/17 and it looks like the process was stopped as if Ford pulled it off the line or something. Anyone with ideas?

Looks like it's built but still at the assembly plant. I don't know if they are doing extra QC on new units, but it has the bedliner installed. Just needs to be shipped.

They had almost a month to update the database before the plant shut down so….. and….No delivery date provided.

Thank you very much for this and the sticker. The one I was provided is a scanned version that was not easily readable.

So it appears to still be in Dearborn or would this not be updated do to plant closure and it could be somewhere else?

I hope it has been there for QC but 2 months is a lot of QC (really just 1 month with closure).

That is the latest information. There is no explanation on why is still there. Even with the plant being down, there should be people working to clear out produced units.

Its not uncommon for them to sit at the factory for a while once they are built. The 2023 Lariat i ordered was in production on march 16, 2023, it was sent offsite to have the plastic bed liner installed, and then shipped back to the rouge center. it showed Built on April 3, 2023. it then sat for another 2 month and was finally shipped on June 6, 2023 to my dealer.

As folks said above it was not uncommon for trucks needing extra attention be stuck at this phase in the database, once it's done someone will update the database, what is extremely rare is to see a truck appear on a selling dealer lot that has not been "released" from the factory, i've come across a few of that scenario in the past.

My 23 was 2 months from build to delivery to dealer.

The factory spray-in bedliner is done off site and can hold up the truck in Detroit for several weeks.
Be glad the other truck is not your problem.

I’m glad the OP here is moving on to another truck.

I’m looking at a truck built 7/23/2024, from some posts here it sounds like that is nothing to be concerned about compared to a newer build. There are a couple with 12/3/2024 build dates a dealer in Boston, if the factory has been closed for a month who knows when they were actually built.
