I'm in communication with other "Lightning" enthusiast clubs, they are discouraging ongoing discussion about these incidents.

I've shared my thoughts with our forum administrator and will defer action on these threads pending their opinion.

Personally, I'd rather the open discussion so that we're well informed about facts instead of running with feelings that may be grounded in fiction or twisted fact, but the final call is in the hands of the forum.

I personally hate censorship and any “curated news”. Glad to see you take that stance. This is all over the Tesla Motor club forums and seems to be getting a lot more discussion with the 20X population on that board.

So sad. Obviously any vehicle can be used as a weapon, but with its power, torque, weight and acceleration (not to mention the F-150 being an American icon) I’m concerned the Lightning may become a weapon of choice.

Ever since I saw the video of this drive-thru accident I worried someone might do something intentional.

Obviously anyone who would do such a thing has some deep resentment and anger, and clearly insane thinking as how to express it. Hurt people hurt people. If I could, I would ask someone contemplating violence ”If you were at the right time and place to step in and take action and had the opportunity to be a hero to save dozens of lives, even though it may cost you your own life, would you not do so? Then do the world a favor and take yourself out.”

Not to mention how quiet they are. People would not hear it coming as quick. This scumbag put thought into this to maximize damage. So sad.

One witness I saw on the news last night reported seeing the truck turn the corner and then hearing the engine rev. I’m guessing that she saw it accelerate and her brain added the engine sounds.

I was recently reading a GOA article and the stats are mind boggling. According to the article, "over the last 10 years, domestic terrorism-related investigations have grown by 357%."

I think this is the largest incident involving a vehicle since the Charlottesville Virginia incident.

Both these incidents suspects are either ex-US Army (NO) and US Army on leave (LV).
