Swapped on my snow tires for the year just now; after a helpful tip from folks here that Forscan's *non-hex mode* had a simple setting for wheel circumference, adjusted that as I'd been meaning to every winter since I've had the truck; while I was at it, got out my power supply, bought another 2-day FDRS license, and had a look-see whether I could get updates unjammed - I've had nothing in about 3 months on my 2022 Lariat, possibly because I've been out of the country and wasn't driving it much until this week.

FDRS shows a DTC for the PCM - code 160A, "Control Module Vehicle Options Reconfiguration Error". Clear-and-retest shows the same DTC again.

This truck had BC 1.3, or 1.4, or whatever it actually was, manually installed and enabled via FDRS and Forscan back around May. No DTCs at that time, and I haven't had a service light or anything since, so I doubt that's the cause. What's the right path forward to clear this DTC for the PCM, and might it be all or part of why I haven't been getting updates? Hoping @rugedraw or @Gimme_my_MME or one of the other experts might be able to offer some guidance here.

It’s the Blue Cruise Gods getting even with you on behalf of all us other 2022’s that haven’t gotten BC1.4 yet.

Turn around three times, squat down and say you’re sorry. That should do it. 😂🤣 kidding of course.

I don't like easy mode in FORScan. I always make the changes manually, but that's just me. First thing I'd try is to change it back to whatever was there before using easy mode and see if the code clears.

Tire size is in a different module, though - the BdyCM as Forscan calls it. It's the PCM that's showing the DTC now...

Yea, I remember when I did mine. Which is exactly why I don't like easy mode. If the script in FORScan is wrong, who knows what it changed? If the code wasn't there before, I don't see what else can be causing it. Or write the config to the PCM with FDRS and see if that clears it.

Sigh, should have backed up the current state before changing anything with easy mode. I have a backup of every module from when I made the BC changes - I guess I can restore that.

Aha! I found this:

"This DTC sets when the PCM detects a mismatch in configuration data and programmable parameters between the PCM and BCM."

Is there some parameter in the PCM I need to update when I change tire size, in addition to the BCM change I already made?

In fact selecting the PCM relearn procedure in FDRS pops up an explanatory screen that says it will fix exactly this! Now I know.

Yes that is correct. PCM relearn is required after Tire size change
